Bezos Blasts Biden for Blaming Inflation on Corporations

Let’s get one thing straight: America would not be facing historically high inflation rates if it weren’t for Joe Biden. Yes, inflation is a complicated matter, especially coming out of a pandemic. But you know what you don’t do when a country is trying to get to work? Flood its economy with over one trillion new dollars.

Biden’s idiotic “rescue plan” from last year is what triggered this runaway inflation. He reduced the value of the dollar with reckless government spending. Now, he is trying to blame everyone, from Donald Trump to Vladimir Putin, for his terrible miscalculation. Most recently, Biden tried to claim that inflation wouldn’t be a problem if corporations were taxed higher than they already are.

And Jeff Bezos himself hit back hard.

“You want to bring down inflation?” Biden tweeted. “Let’s make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.”

Bezos responded several hours later, writing: “The newly created Disinformation Board should review this tweet, or maybe they need to form a new Non Sequitur Board instead.”

“Raising corp taxes is fine to discuss. Taming inflation is critical to discuss,” Bezos continued. “Mushing them together is just misdirection.” [Source: Daily Wire]

First off, we need to acknowledge that “pay their fair share” has become code on the left for socialism. “Fair” is a subjective term with no real meaning. What is “fair” for a massive corporation? Is a 10% tax rate fair? Twenty-five percent? How about sixty percent? When the people who decided what’s “fair” are crooked politicians who are being controlled by foreign powers, the definition of “fair” has no limit.

If Biden could tax corporations 80%, he could.

But that doesn’t even address the massive lie he spread through this tweet. Taxing big corporations will not bring down inflation. Inflation is caused when the value of the dollar drops. How is taking more money from the companies that employ millions of Americans going to bring down the value of the dollar?

Bezos was right in saying taxing corporations and inflation are two different issues. Putting them together is “misdirection,” which is another way of saying lying.

Increasing taxes on big companies would give the government more money, yes. But that would only result in greedy Democrats like Schumer and Pelosi spending more. And government spending cannot increase the value of the dollar. Just the opposite.

A better solution is making sure Americans and their employers have more money. That means lowering taxes will go much further in reducing inflation. The exact opposite of what a crook like Biden wants.

But he doesn’t expect you to be smart enough to know that. Biden, like all useless Democrats, is trying to use a crisis (he created) to expand his power. That’s the only thing Democrats are good at, these days. But, as you can expect, it will only make the problem worse.
