It’s not every day that justice is swift and visible, but this week in Massachusetts, it sure was. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents did what too many government agencies have been too timid to do: they snatched a terrorist sympathizer off American soil and began the process of booting her out of the country—where she never should have been in the first place.
The individual in question? Rumeysa Ozturk, a 30-year-old Turkish national and doctoral student at Tufts University—an elite institution that’s long been a breeding ground for far-left activism. ICE agents arrested her outside her home after a months-long investigation by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed she had engaged in activities in support of Hamas, a foreign terrorist organization that has murdered innocent civilians, including Americans.

Let’s be clear: Hamas is a U.S.-designated terrorist group. This isn’t a peaceful student voicing her opinion. This is a foreign national allegedly supporting a radical Islamist organization whose goal is the annihilation of Israel and the death of Western civilization as we know it.
Yet, as expected, the radical left is up in arms. Not about her support of Hamas, of course—but about her arrest. Progressives and pro-terror campus activists are losing their minds, not because a potential national security threat was neutralized, but because the optics made them uncomfortable.
In footage captured by a nearby security camera, masked ICE agents descended on Ozturk with tactical precision, handcuffing her and loading her into a vehicle. According to reports, she screamed loudly during the arrest, prompting a bystander to ignorantly shout, “Is this a kidnapping?” The agents calmly replied, “We’re the police.”

Ozturk’s defenders point to an op-ed she co-authored in the Tufts Daily, which demanded the university “acknowledge the situation in Palestine” and sever ties with institutions connected to Israel. But when you’re a foreign national on a U.S. visa, you don’t get to play footsie with terror networks and expect zero consequences. As DHS rightly pointed out, a visa is a privilege—not a right.
“Glorifying and supporting terrorists who kill Americans is grounds for visa issuance to be terminated,” a DHS spokesperson stated. “This is commonsense security.”
You’d think that would be obvious—but not in 2025 America, where university campuses have turned into propaganda machines for anti-American, anti-Israel, pro-terror agendas.
The Left is especially triggered because a liberal federal judge, Indira Talwani, attempted to slow ICE’s roll by demanding 48-hour notice before moving Ozturk out of Massachusetts. Too bad. DHS had already put her on a plane to a secure detention facility in Basile, Louisiana, before the ink was dry on the court order.
You see, while activists cry about “due process,” the rest of us are just relieved that at least one branch of the federal government is still doing its job.
Let this be a warning shot: under President Trump’s renewed leadership, America is not playing games. If you’re in this country on a visa and you’re caught promoting terrorism, you’re gone. Fast. We don’t care about your protest signs, your campus clubs, or your “diversity” status. We care about keeping Americans safe.
