Irony Abounds As Cuomo Cashes In On Book Deal

If there’s any governor that should be in jail over their COVID response, it’s probably Andrew Cuomo. New York’s governor is facing intense heat right now, but last year he was practically worshiped by the left over his “leadership” during the pandemic.

But what did Cuomo actually do that deserved so much praise and attention? Um… from what we can see, all he did was accept aid from Donald Trump. That’s the only thing that appeared to save New York from disaster.

The governor was so proud of himself, that he wrote a book about his leadership. Really? His state continues to reel from the horrors of the pandemic (and his own lockdown orders), but he wanted to brag about himself? Let’s not forget that he ordered sick people into nursing homes, contributing to ,000s of additional dead New Yorkers.

Now, we are learning just how much Cuomo got for his pat on the back.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo sold the rights to his book titled “American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic” for a whopping $5.12 million, tax records indicate…

According to the Post, Cuomo spokesperson Rich Azzopardi said in a statement that Cuomo gave a large chunk of the book profits he has received so far to his three daughters…

I guess we’re supposed to be happy that this poor excuse for a governor who cashed in on the pandemic gave a portion of his ill-gotten earnings to his three daughters? Daughters who, by the way, were not hard up for cash in any way, shape, or form?

Apparently, Cuomo claims his “tireless and effective work” during the pandemic included “strength and love to make it through the crisis every day.”

I guess by tireless and effective work he means forcing COVID patients into nursing homes so that the virus would spread to healthy people? And the strength and love he experienced he shared with the numerous staffers he intimidated, bullied, or sexually harassed?

If this is the standard for good governors, so much so we need to read a book about it, God help the states. I think a monkey could do a better job of leading New York than the clown who is in office right now.

Months ago, even Democrats were demanding his head over the many scandals surrounding his administration. Right now, he might be thinking it’s all died down. But I’m thinking news of his payday might remind a few people about how terrible this governor really is.
