Liberals Celebrate Canada’s Tyrannical Gun Ban — You Won’t Believe This

Tyranny sure does move fast!

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is arguably one of the most radical political figures in the western hemisphere. He’s enacted utter tyranny in the name of leftism on multiple occasions, even going so far as freezing bank accounts of his political opposition.

Trudeau is seizing on an opportunity to exact even more centralized authoritarianism using an American tragedy as justification.

On Monday, Trudeau introduced legislation that if passed would freeze the sale of handguns in the ultra-liberal country.

“What this means is that it will no longer be possible to buy, sell, transfer, or import handguns anywhere in Canada,” Trudeau said.

Government officials will not necessarily seize the guns Canadians already own, but the bill would essentially cap the number of handguns in rotation. Only 1.1 million handguns are currently registered with the Canadian government and would act as a benchmark if the law were to pass.

The legislation doesn’t stop there — oh, no.

Long-gun magazines must be modified to prevent all but five bullets in the firearm at any given time. The bill would also establish ‘red flag’ laws that allow government officials to seize firearms per a court order. A judge must determine that a gun owner is in danger to himself or others before a weapon could be seized.

To make matters worse, the legislation is expected to pass in the Canadian Parliament with flying colors!

“We need only look south of the border to know that if we do not take action, firmly and rapidly, it gets worse and worse and more difficult to counter,” Trudeau said in reference to the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

Two years ago, the Canadian province of Nova Scotia experienced a mass shooting that resulted in the murder of 22 people — the deadliest in their history. This spurred a series of gun laws, including a ban on AR-15s and other high-power firearms. If the new legislation is passed, Canadians will be severely restricted in their ability to defend themselves against criminals or their own tyrannical government.

Canada is not known for gun violence and is largely seen as a peaceful country in that regard. However, they’re also known for heavily centralized government control over their citizens. For example, unvaccinated Canadians currently cannot leave the country under their strident public health laws still in effect.
