Biden’s ‘Fist Bump’ Trip Failed–OPEC Increasing Oil by Marginal Amount

Joe Biden just can’t get anything right. First, he destroyed America’s energy independence by banning drilling on federal land (and then some). He has allowed the cost of gasoline to skyrocket, leading to runaway inflation and a recession. But instead of reopening America’s energy potential, he flew all the way to Saudi Arabia to beg the Arabs to drill more oil.

He ticked off even his own side by fist bumping Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the man liberals blame for the death of a reporter. But for all that, Biden did not even get what he wanted.

The Biden administration’s calls for a significant increase in oil production were rejected by OPEC and its allies on Wednesday. The cartel agreed to a tiny increase in output that is not expected to have more than a minimal impact on crude prices.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and allied oil-producing countries such as Russia agreed to raise their collective output by 100,000 barrels a day in September. According to Reuters, that is equivalent to 86 seconds of global demand.

The small increase is being described as “an insult to U.S. President Joe Biden,” according to Reuters. Biden traveled to Saudi Arabia last month to persuade the kingdom’s leaders to pump more oil, a dramatic and awkward reversal after Biden promised on the campaign trails that he would “end fossil fuels” and treat the Saudis as pariahs following the killing of Jamal Khashoggi. Why did anyone think that a man like Joe Biden could convince OPEC of anything? Joe can’t even talk straight. He is a puppet “president” run by the radical left and DNC. He deliberately shut down American oil to make China and other nations more competitive.

His trip to Saudi Arabia was just for appearances, to convince us yokels back home that he was doing something about the gas crisis. But even that didn’t work. OPEC has no desire to listen to a man with no power and no brains in his head.

All that Biden has to do to fix the crisis is to reopen American drilling. End the ridiculous regulations that are hampering American oil companies. But he will never do it. And it has nothing to do with “saving” the planet.

Biden, like all Democrats and many Republicans, is a globalist. He cares more about pandering to foreign interests and massive corporations than he does hard-working Americans. All of his policies have benefited the rich and powerful, while leaving real folks in the dust.

He claims he cares about the working man. But all he is interested in doing is depriving us of jobs, good pay, upward mobility, and independence. But hey, at least he’ll throw some food stamps at us, right?
