Biden Team Pulls Out Hilarious Excuse For Open Southern Border

In a recent interview, President Joe Biden (D) said that his administration is now figuring out if he has the right to close the southern border.

During an interview with Enrique Acevedo of Univision, Biden expressed uncertainty about his ability to curb the influx of migrants entering the country across the border.

Republicans, according to Biden, were to blame for not backing legislation that would have given him the power to stop the immigration problem. The president acknowledged that there are not enough officials in Customs and Border Protection to thoroughly screen immigrants entering the US.

“For instance, we do not have enough officers to interview people to determine if they have a valid fear or worry that qualifies them to enter. Our Border Patrol personnel at the border are insufficient. Biden said, “We do not have adequate equipment to identify fentanyl and other illicit substances coming in.”

We collaborated on this for four months with a very conservative Republican senator from Oklahoma who ran on one side and Democrats on the other. Eventually, they produced a plan. He then added, “It did not include all I wanted,” alluding to the 370-page, $118 billion package that the Senate had approved in February. The bill combined significant funds for southern border security measures, humanitarian help for Gaza, and military support for Israel and Ukraine.

In order to facilitate an orderly transfer and enable legal immigration to rise rather than fall and reduce illegal immigration, Biden praised the law for having “paid for a lot of additional manpower [at the border].”

He attacked President Trump for supposedly coercing Republicans into voting against the bill.

“Have you made a final choice on taking executive action in terms of what you wish to do at the border, which includes the authority to shut down the border?” the reporter posed to Biden.

According to the president, he had “recommended that.”

“We are investigating my potential for that power. The law would give me that authority. Slow down when more than 5,000 individuals attempt to enter the border each day because you are unable to handle it. Without legislation, there is no assurance that I will have that authority on my own. Other people have advised me to simply give it a shot. Furthermore, the court has the right to shut me down if it so chooses. However, we are currently attempting to resolve it,” Biden remarked.

In the initial half of fiscal year 2024, the Border Patrol documented more than 1,151,000 interactions. The statistics provided by CBP do not include gotaways, both known and unknown, who are not under the surveillance of law enforcement.
