As seen on this week’s episode of “Sunday Morning Futures” on the Fox News Channel, Government Accountability Institute president Peter Schweizer, a senior contributor to Breitbart News and author of “Blood Money,” said that the Chinese Communist Party had helped Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN).
“What do you think about what we heard from Tim Walz? He praised Chinese communism as a system where everyone is the same and shares,” host Maria Bartiromo asked. “Are you sure that the Communist Party has been secretly training Tim Walz?”
He told Maria, “Oh, I don’t think there’s any doubt about it. It all comes back to the exchange program he ran that brought many American students to China. Early news stories about it said that Tim Walz’s program was one of a kind and that no one else had it. Tim Walz is taking those students there at the same time that the students say he is saying things like, “In China, nobody is poor because everyone shares,” as if that were optional. In other words, sharing is up to you. It is a ridiculous thing to say. Aside from that, he told students going to China to play down their Americanness in other ways. One student told me that he had taken back a lot of copies of Mao’s Little Red Book from China, but I hadn’t been able to cross-check this directly. So this has been a connection for a long time, and it continued when he became a member of Congress and the things he did there.”
“He goes to China with a few other Democrats in 2016,” Schweizer continued. “He talks about meeting with Chinese officials and telling them, “Oh, I was in China. I was here in China in December 1989.” They told him it was February 1990. They had been following him since he was a young man, but that meeting with Premier Li is a classic case of what the Chinese call “big help with a little bad mouth.” When Tim Walz talks about China’s human rights situation, he never means to do anything about it. During this meeting with Premier Li, he told Premier Li, “Well, don’t look to the US as an example of how to do this because we don’t know how to do it right either.” These are his words about what he told Premier Li. In other words, China wants American leaders to believe that all people are morally equal. Don’t do anything about human rights, just talk about them. And also makes it seem like the Chinese system isn’t worse than ours from a moral point of view. In fact, Tim Walz has done that over the years.”
