Trump Fires Back After Democrats Enlist In Another ‘Witch Hunt’

The NY State attorney general’s office announced this week that the investigation into Trump and his namesake organization is advancing to a “criminal capacity.” The Democrat prosecutors are attempting to take down the Former President by ramping up the probe into his business dealings before taking office.

Before assuming office in 2016, Trump operated a successful business empire and was a key player in the reality TV market. Since being forced out of the White House after a phony election, he remains the dominant force within the Republican party — even amidst a Big Tech blackout. Facebook and Twitter both stripped Trump of his social media accounts permanently.

Trump released a lengthy statement blasting the criminal probe as “an ongoing witch hunt the likes of which America has never seen.”

It goes without saying, but both the NY state and Manhattan attorneys general are liberal Democrats.

“We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the organization is no longer purely civil in nature. We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA,” AG Letitia James said.

The billion-dollar organization Trump built serves as a umbrealla company for numerous business dealings – ranging from golf courses, to hotels, and other real estate.

Meanwhile, AG James’s has been investigation the Trump Organization through civil proceedings. The allegations against him range from bank fraud to insurance scams.

Eric Trump, son of the Former President, revealed AG James “detests my father” and “won her campaigned by promising to on take down my father down.”

James has described Trump as an “illegitimate president.” In another campaign video, she says, , “We’re going to definitely sue him. … He’s going to know my name personally.”

Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, has called out New York’s efforts a “fishing expedition” being conducted as “part of a continued political vendetta.”

After the Supreme Court allowed the release of Trump’s tax returns to N.Y. prosecutors in February, the former president commented.

“The Supreme Court never should have let this ‘fishing expedition’ happen, but they did,” Trump said in the statement, reported by CNN.

“This is something which has never happened to a President before, it is all Democrat-inspired in a totally Democrat location, New York City and State, completely controlled and dominated by a heavily reported enemy of mine, Governor Andrew Cuomo.”

The district attorney’s investigation initially focused on hush payments made to two women who allege they had affairs with Trump, but had expanded to allegations of tax evasion, and insurance and bank fraud.

Two assistant attorneys general will join the district attorney’s efforts, according to sources familiar with the matter cited in The New York Times, as James’s office continues its civil inquiry.

Bolstering its legal team, the Trump Organization in early April hired a veteran criminal defense attorney, 84-year-old Ronald Fischetti.
