The days of a wide-open southern border are over. President Donald Trump has deployed 3,000 active-duty troops, including a Stryker Brigade Combat Team, to lock down the U.S.-Mexico border and reinforce America’s territorial integrity. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth isn’t playing games. He ordered the deployment to seal the border and protect the territorial integrity of the United States, making it clear that national security is back on the priority list. The Stryker Brigade will be joined by troops specializing in engineering, intelligence, and public affairs, ensuring that this isn’t just a photo op—it’s a real military operation.
Sean Parnell, a Defense Department spokesman, laid it out in plain terms: “Their deployment underscores the Department’s unwavering dedication to working alongside the Department of Homeland Security to secure our southern border and maintain the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security of the United States under President Trump’s leadership.” Translation? This isn’t Biden’s border anymore. The law is being enforced.
We are dead serious about 100% OPERATIONAL CONTROL of the southern border. https://t.co/5bzvEQ8qPu

Trump’s border security push isn’t just about stopping illegal migrants—it’s about crushing the drug cartels that have turned northern Mexico into a war zone. On January 31, Hegseth warned Mexican officials that the U.S. military will take unilateral action against cartels if Mexico refuses to act. According to The Wall Street Journal, the message was clear—either Mexico gets serious about cracking down on the cartels, or the U.S. will do it for them. Mexican leaders are panicking, claiming U.S. military action would “undermine Mexican sovereignty.” Spare us. The only ones undermining Mexican sovereignty are the cartels, who operate with impunity while flooding America’s streets with fentanyl. Hegseth is making it clear: “We are dead serious about 100% OPERATIONAL CONTROL of the southern border.”
The results speak for themselves. Trump celebrated record-low illegal border crossings in February, his first full month back in office. Only 8,326 illegal immigrants were caught trying to enter the U.S. last month, and every single one was quickly deported or prosecuted. Trump took to social media to declare victory: “The Invasion of our Country is OVER. In comparison, under Joe Biden, there were 300,000 Illegals crossing in one month, and virtually ALL of them were released into our Country.” That’s not a small improvement—that’s a border security revolution. Biden’s policies flooded America with millions of illegal immigrants. Trump’s policies are stopping the invasion cold.
The bottom line? The border is being secured, the cartels are being put on notice, and illegal immigration is no longer a free-for-all. America First is back, and the southern border will never be the same.
