Democrats may be spinning themselves in circles trying to convince each other that President Trump’s first address to Congress was a disaster, but reality—and the polls—tell a different story.
A CBS/YouGov poll delivered a crushing blow to the left’s narrative, showing that a whopping 76% of viewers approved of Trump’s speech. Let that sink in. The same media that’s spent years trying to paint Trump as “divisive” and “unpopular” just got hit with the cold, hard truth: America is behind Trump.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wasted no time rubbing it in. “Speaking of the president, he just passed me a note while I’m standing here. He wanted me to hold this up. This is the poll that I cited, the CBS/YouGov poll that shows that 76% of those who watched the president’s speech last night approved of his speech,” Leavitt declared triumphantly.
She wasn’t done. “It’s incredibly sad that we have a modern-day Democrat Party that is so severely out of touch with the American public.” Sad? Yes. Predictable? Absolutely.
The numbers don’t lie. 63% of viewers felt Trump spent a lot of time on issues they cared about, and 68% said the speech made them feel hopeful. And what about all that Democrat “outrage” the media loves to amplify? Only 20% of respondents said the speech made them feel angry or worried. That means the vast majority of Americans walked away feeling encouraged about the future.
Trump’s speech wasn’t just a hit—it was a roadmap for America’s comeback. Voters liked his plan for Ukraine, his stance on immigration, his focus on cutting wasteful spending, and his push for tariffs to protect American industry. 76% of respondents also approved of his decision to remove Democrat Congressman Al Green for interrupting the speech. The message was clear—America is done tolerating leftist tantrums.
As Blaze News Tonight’s Jill Savage put it, “That’s the vision that President Trump laid out in his historic address to Congress. It was filled with optimism and bold promises, and he painted a picture of a golden age ahead, one of prosperity, strength, and renewed American leadership.”
Blaze News politics reporter Rebeka Zeljko agreed. “You saw all of the Republicans really united behind the president and cheering him on. Of course, you also saw the Democrats protesting pretty much every single thing that he possibly had to say, but that aside, the reception across America was extremely positive,” she said.
Let the left scream, let the media throw their usual meltdown, and let the pundits tell their tired lies. The American people saw the speech, they heard the message, and they overwhelmingly approved.
Democrats can deny it all they want, but one thing is clear—Trump is winning, and America is ready for the golden age ahead.
