Ted Cruz Slams The Corrupt American Legal System

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) criticized the plea deal that President Biden’s son Hunter and the Biden Dept. of Justice negotiated this week during an interview on FNC’s “Fox News Tonight” program.

Cruz dubbed the agreement cronyism and said it was a “sad day” for the rule of law.

Transcript in part as follows:

“Of course not, CRUZ said. Look, everyone in America who cares about justice should be indignant because this is a truly terrible day for the rule of law. Three things occurred at once today. First of all, it is cronyism. The second one is camouflage. And corruption is number three.”

“Starting with cronyism, please. If Hunter’s last name is not Biden, this does not take place. He is serving time in prison if he is Hunter Smith. Only because his father is the president does he receive this sweetheart bargain with no jail time at all. Second, it’s camouflage, though. Listen, I prophesied months ago that precisely what occurred today would occur. Every week, I host the three-day podcast “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” and on that episode, I predicted that Merrick Garland would charge Hunter Biden in order to demonstrate his impartiality. I charged a Biden. I charged Donald Trump.”

“And I added that there would be a sign as to whether they genuinely cared about upholding the law. You’ll be able to tell that this is just the Biden Department of Justice acting impartially if they target some little tax or gun crime, making it all personal, and single out Hunter Biden. The third and most concerning issue, though, is corruption since the reason for this prosecution is what you just heard. To declare that it is over is for the media. Avoid examining the Big Guy.”

“And the reason this is currently making headlines and why we are talking about it is not because Hunter Biden is some disturbed individual who struggles with addiction. The reason for this is that he allegedly sold access to his father, who is currently president of the United States and was previously vice president of the United States. As evidence of corruption surrounding Joe Biden’s alleged millions in earnings mounts, the Biden Justice Dept. is doing everything in its power to conceal, obstruct, and cover up the situation.”
