The assassination of Charlie Kirk, a patriot and founder of Turning Point USA, has shocked this nation. But what’s even more disturbing is what followed—an outpouring of celebration from the very people we entrust with the next generation: public school teachers.
Let that sink in. These folks aren’t random internet trolls. They’re educators, paid with your tax dollars, standing in front of your kids every day. And when a conservative voice was silenced by an assassin’s bullet, they cheered. Some even sang.
Take Samantha Marengo, a special education teacher at King Elementary School in Framingham, Massachusetts. In a video posted to social media, she stood before a live news broadcast reporting Kirk’s assassination and grinned ear to ear while singing “God Bless America.” She looked proud of herself. The video, now deleted, was preserved by the Libs of TikTok account.

This isn’t just bad taste. It’s a window into the ideology infecting our schools. These aren’t educators. They’re activists, some teetering on the edge of radical extremism. When they’re not pushing politics in the classroom, they’re celebrating the murder of someone they disagree with.
And it wasn’t just one teacher. In Naples, New York, another public school teacher called Kirk an “aspiring Goebbels,” comparing him to a Nazi propagandist, writing “Good riddance to bad garbage.”
Down in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, a federal teacher with the Department of Defense Education Activity—yes, a government employee working with military families—called Kirk a “garbage human” and posted, “We are at a point where things are going to have to get ugly, maybe even violent.” That’s a direct quote. She added that voting isn’t enough and dropped multiple expletives about Kirk even after his death.
This is what our service members’ kids are being exposed to on base.
In South Carolina, high school teacher Wynne Boliek celebrated Kirk’s death by writing, “America became better today.” Thankfully, that district acted fast and fired him.
But many other school systems are dragging their feet, hoping this blows over. In Iowa, a high school art teacher allegedly wrote, “1 Nazi down.” In Texas, another teacher wrote, “1 down. Now get the rest of these fools.” The district called it “inappropriate,” but didn’t say if he’ll face consequences.
This isn’t a matter of free speech. This is a matter of professional conduct and basic human decency. These teachers are in positions of influence, guiding young minds. If they’re this brazen online, what are they saying behind closed doors in the classroom?
Charlie Kirk was a bold voice for conservative values. He stood for God-given rights, free speech, and the Constitution. He challenged the radical left and refused to back down. That’s why he was hated. That’s why these so-called educators are rejoicing.
The real question is this: How many more like them are out there? How many teachers are quietly indoctrinating your kids, hiding behind the protection of tenure and union contracts?
This isn’t about politics anymore. It’s about the moral decay in our institutions. The left has wormed its way into our classrooms, our military, and now our culture. And when one of our own is murdered, they cheer.
It’s time for accountability. Schools must fire any teacher who celebrates violence. Parents must demand transparency. And our leaders must take a stand.
Because if these people are shaping the minds of the next generation, then we’re in a fight not just for freedom—but for the soul of this country.
