Rand Paul Makes Fauci Regret His Criminal Endeavors

The Fauci reign of influence is coming to a fiery end. Not only have Americans soured on Biden’s chief medical examiner, but top Republicans are taking note as well. Leading the charge against “America’s Doctor” is Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky. On numerous occasions, and straight to his face, the Kentucky Republican has outed Fauci for exactly what he is — a liar and a fraud. Fauci recently appeared in front of Congress for another heated exchange with Sen. Paul.

The White House immunologist attempted to exact revenge against the Senator who suggested he could very well be charged with a federal crime for lying to Congress about the NIH role in funding gain-of-function research.

The tense back-and-forth began when Sen. Paul suggested Fauci committed perjury during his last appearance in front of the Senate Committee on May 11.

“Dr. Fauci, as you are aware, it is a crime to lie to Congress,” Paul said, adding that such is a felony punishable by up to five years in jail. “On your last trip to our committee on May 11, you stated that the NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”

Paul was referring to a report authored by Dr. Zhengli of the Wuhan Institue of Virology, which claimed that the NIH did in fact fund research into many iterations of SARS-related viruses under Dr. Fauci’s tutelage.

Fauci appeared visibly angry after Sen. Paul’s accusations, causing him to erupt with outrage and double down on his initial statement.

“Senator Paul, I have never lied before the Congress, and I do not retract that statement…”

Later in the exchange, Paul asked Fauci point-blank: “You increase transmissibility of animal viruses for human application. You’re claiming that is not gain-of-function research?”

This was Fauci’s last straw, he finally exploded, saying:

“Senator Paul, you don’t know what you’re talking about, quite frankly. I want to say that officially — you have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Paul responded by accusing Fauci of obscuring the definition of gain-of-function research to obfuscate responsibility for the global pandemic, which he was wholly responsible for causing.

Watch the terse exchange here:

Paul later tweeted the paper he entered into the record, writing, “MIT biologist Kevin Esvelt reviewed this paper that was published with financial assistance from Dr. Fauci’s NIH/NIAID and concluded ‘certain techniques that the researchers used seemed to meet the definition of gain-of-function.’”

FactCheck.org released a report covering funding of gain-of-function research in the past. Their previously reporting confirmed that Fauci’s NIH funded such research in Wuhan depending “on whom you ask and their definition of gain-of-function.”
