“You’re going to ask me if we should call the Capitol Police in the middle of this after they’ve already broken the inaugural stuff.” In the video that her daughter captured, Pelosi said. “That is the National Guard.” Why hadn’t the National Guard been present from the start?
Terri McCullough, her chief of staff, informed her, “They assumed that they had sufficient resources.”
“They don’t know how they had it; that’s not the question!” Pelosi answered. “I accept responsibility for not having them simply prepare for more, given that they evidently lacked knowledge.”
Naturally, Pelosi’s team retaliated, as this narrative-busting video defies everything Democrats have said about the Capitol incident on January 6.
In a statement, a representative for Pelosi stated, “Many independent fact-checkers have proven again and again that Speaker Pelosi did not arrange her own assassination on January 6th.” “Speaker Pelosi “sprang into action in reaction to the attack on the Capitol—mobilizing the defense of the Capitol, encouraging the Administration to deploy the National Guard, and arranging the continuity of government,” as the full footage clearly demonstrates.
The statement went on, saying, “Cherry-picked, out-of-context videos do not alter the reality that, on January 6th or any other day of the week, the Speaker of the House is not in command of the security of the Capitol Complex. House Republicans are still trying to downplay the violent uprising three years later.
Naturally, Pelosi went on MSNBC to refute any claim that she ever accepted accountability for the security lapses on January 6, 2021. She chose the appropriate channel to use for this. When MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace played the explosive footage, she feigned shock at the attention that people “on the right” were giving it.
This has caused controversy on the right and in some media. Why? Wallace inquired.
“Well, because the reality is that the US president, the former president, and his cronies are unwilling to accept the truth,” Pelosi responded sharply. “On January 6, they’re attempting to rewrite history. However, we must allow their inaccurate perception of what happened that day to deceive us once more. They are aware of what happened that day. They are aware of the gravity of the situation and how it has affected and still affects our nation. Despite this, they often refer to the detained individuals as hostages.”
An incorrect perception? Really? Pelosi essentially admitted, “I take responsibility” for the lack of protection in the footage from January 6.
And if the video wasn’t such a big deal, why wasn’t it released by the notorious January 6 Committee? Why has it remained a secret until now?
