Moderate Democrat Foils Leftist Schemes By Refusing To End Filibuster

Democrats are only a few votes away from having complete control over our federal government. With the Senate facing a 50/50 split (thanks to Georgia), Democrats have a 51-vote majority with Harris as VP. That means they could force through a variety of radical, unpopular, socialist plans–including gun control, abortion-on-demand, and changes to our voting systems.

The only thing stopping them is the filibuster. This rule requires a 60-vote majority to end debate on a bill and bring it to a final vote. With the filibuster, even the minority party has a voice in the Senate, the very essence of democracy.

Naturally, power-hungry Democrats want to kill the filibuster, so they can ram through whatever toxic scheme Biden’s handlers have cooked up. The only thing stopping them? Two moderate Democrats by the names of Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.

Both of these senators come from largely conservative states–and they hang onto their jobs by the thread. They can’t go whole hog on the left’s un-American schemes, but they can’t openly support conservative plans. So, the hill they are standing on is keeping the filibuster.

Facing intense pressure from her party, Sinema once again defended this rule.

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) on Wednesday defended the filibuster, saying it “protects the democracy of our nation,” despite complaints from her fellow Democrats who want to eliminate it in order to accomplish policy goals.

“As folks in Arizona know, I’ve long been a supporter of the filibuster because it is a tool that protects the democracy of our nation, rather than allowing our country to ricochet wildly every two to four years back and forth between policies,” Sinema told reporters on Wednesday. Sinema’s comments about our democracy were remarkably accurate. That’s rare, coming from the Democratic Party. She explained that the filibuster prevents our country from swinging “wildly every two to four years.” She’s right.

Rules like the filibuster force lawmakers to actually work with the opposing party, rather than pushing their agenda through. It’s supposed to get them to compromise and create deals and bills that everyone can agree with. That would result in lasting, bipartisan progress that benefits the entire country.

Our leaders used to do that, back when they passed the Civil Rights Act and other landmark bills. But today, the parties–particularly Democrats–are not interested in cooperation or unity. They have a small window to force their agenda through (which mainly revolves around paying off their globalist overlords) and they are determined to get it done.

But Americans are not sleeping. They are watching how Biden and Democrats are torching the earth to get their unpopular agenda through. And when 2022 comes rolling around–what do you think voters are going to do? Plenty of liberals will be looking for new jobs.

Something tells me, however, that people like Sinema and Manchin have less to worry about.
