We can’t just blame the Democratic Party for the disaster that has been the Biden administration.
Yes, they colluded to prevent Bernie Sanders from getting the nomination. And yes, they conspired to make the 2020 Election a black stain on our democracy. But they are not the only ones to blame.
The liberal media propped up this doddering old idiot as a better president than Donald Trump. And even as Biden’s failed policies started hurting Americans left and right, they continued to treat the old man with kid gloves.
All that seemed to change after the Taliban retook Afghanistan—and some of their own reporters were put in jeopardy. Now, it appears the liberal media is starting to turn on Sleepy Joe.
ABC News’ Jon Karl said Sunday on “This Week” that the Biden administration is attempting to spin the evacuation in Afghanistan…
Karl said, “They have been describing something that isn’t reality. This has been an incredible airlift. More than 100,000 people evacuated, but what a disaster. Clearly, Thursday was the worst day of the Biden presidency, and we don’t really know, Martha, how bad it really is. We know the disaster that has unfolded. Now the big question is, does Afghanistan once again become a safe haven for terrorist attacks on U.S. interests around the world or at home?” [Source: Breitbart]
Even members of the liberal media are calling out Biden’s failures, not content to do their usual job of covering for a Democrat.
ABC News’ Jon Karl admitted that Biden was trying to spin his failed withdraw by making the evacuation look like an amazing feat of heroism. That was, until the terror attack. After hundreds were hurt or killed (including 13 American soldiers), the administration was forced to admit defeat.
Now, Karl as well as many others, worry about what is next in Afghanistan. We know that our military will be totally gone on August 31. Some speculate Americans will be left stranded.
But on top of that, the lack of U.S. military will allow Afghanistan to once again become, as Karl said, “a safe haven” for terrorists. With the Taliban in control, murderous jihadists can set up shop in the foreign land. From there, they can plan attacks on America and our allies around the world.
This is exactly why many experts warned against a hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan. While we wanted to pull our troops from the country, many knew that we always need some form of military presence overseas. Unless we take the fight to our enemies there, they will find a way to come here. It’s that simple.
But Biden ignored all those warnings, because he wanted praise from the media. How did that work out for him?
Even the liberal lapdogs in the MSM are bashing him. They are not shying away from the fact that Biden’s decisions could result in bigger disasters, tragedy, and death not far down the road from now.
What’s worse is that Biden doesn’t seem at all capable of handling that kind of threat.
