Jon Lovitz, a famous comedian and actor, criticized Dems for abandoning Israel and for how they handled the rise in anti-Semitism in the United States following the assault on October 7.
“It is alright; you should vote for anyone you like?” However, if you identify as Jewish, you should be aware that a recently passed law denounces anti-Semitism, which refers to hatred and violence directed towards Jews. In an interview, Lovitz said that 70 Democrats voted against it.
Additionally, Jewish politician Chuck Schumer is arguing that Israel should have elections right away. And the reason why Trump and others became enraged was because it is improper to meddle—ironically, Trump included—in elections held by another nation and in a war. Declared Lovitz. I think, “Well, it is obvious that he opposes Israel.” “They must put an end to this conflict.” Why doesn’t he denounce Hamas for initiating it? How about that?
Lovitz went on, “And regardless of your opinion of Trump, the truth is that he has done more for Israel than any other president in our country’s history.”
In reality, we had crossed paths throughout the years. Lovitz said on Fox News, “And the strange thing about Trump is that he is quite different than he is on television.” “However, if you want to argue that he is antisemitic, I respond, ‘Well, I do not know; his daughter—he is obsessed with Ivanka—who converted to Judaism, then married a Jew, and his grandkids are Jewish.’”
In Palm Beach, there is a beach club. It’s a club that excludes Jews. They are prohibited. And the beach club at Mar-a-Lago, which welcomes Jews, is located exactly next door to that one. Which of the clubs—the one that admits Jews and the one that forbids them—is antisemitic? Alright? I can assure you that in Israel, they adore Trump. since he stood up for them. Some claim that Trump is anti-Semitic. I would also say that he isn’t based on his actions. Furthermore, the Democrats as a whole exhibit [antisemitic] behavior. Without a doubt, they are not for Israel.
The well-known actor also dubbed Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) “completely anti-Semitic” during the interview, in response to her remarks that there are “anti-genocide” and “pro-genocide” Jews on either sides of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Lovitz, a lifetime Democrat and ardent supporter of Israel, now says he does’nt feel like he connects with any political party in the wake of the tragedy that rocked Israel on October 7.
“For a long time, Jews—including myself—have tended to be liberal Democrats. So what happens when the group you have spent your entire life with turns against you? Lovitz inquired. “Then they respond, ‘No, they aren’t.’” Really? They did vote on it recently, though. I do not condone hate crimes against you. Seventy of them cast no votes. The Democratic Party has changed throughout the years.
