President Biden is the target of a vicious attack advertisement from DeSantis PAC Never Back Down that was published this week in reply to claims that he took $5 million in bribesĀ from a Ukrainian tycoon.
The commercial, which bases itself on assertions made inside an FBI classified human source assessmentĀ found by GOP CongressionalĀ investigators, is accusing Biden along with Hunter, of taking bribe money provided by the UkrainianĀ firm Burisma. In the commercial, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is seeking election for president, is portrayed as the guy who will restore a completely broken judicial system and charges the administration of Joe Biden of using double standards when it comes to enforcing laws.
“In particular, in Ukraine, where Joe and Hunter secretly accepted millions of dollars in bribery payments from the gas firm Burisma, the Biden criminal family profited for years off of Joe’s influence and standing,” the advertisement claims. “And when a Ukrainian prosecutor attempted to look into Burisma’s misconduct, Biden bought the prosecutor’s dismissal by paying off the president of Ukraine.”
The attorney was Viktor Shokin, the previous prosecutor gen. for Ukraine, with whom Biden helped to get rid of in 2016 as he wasĀ vice president. Globally, Shokin was looked upon with suspicion for his purported connections to corruption. While Hunter Biden was on the board of Burisma, he was simultaneously promoting a probe into the firm.
In the event that Shokin wasn’t sacked, then-VP Biden warned that he would withhold $1 billion inĀ assurances from then-President Poroshenko of Ukraine.
In 2018, Biden remarked at a gathering of the Council on Foreign Relations, “Well, son of a b****, he’s been fired.”
Trump’s first impeachment, based on the DeSantis commercial, was an effort to conceal wrongdoing to save Biden.
“When Trump sought to investigate the matter, Democrats tried to have him removed from office, and the FBI buried the damning information on Hunter’s laptop by hiding it.” The advertisement claims, “We now know Biden is hoarding secret papers. The DOJ under Biden? They are unconcerned. Is Biden attempting to conceal the proof of his quick-money scheme?”
The subsequent advertisement promotes DeSantis as the best candidate to control an unruly FBI and Justice Department. This week, DeSantis revealed his plan for reforming the Justice Dept.
“We require a president who will investigate the matter thoroughly and put an end to the militarization of our legal system.” The advertisement claims Ron DeSantis will.
