Democrats, RINOs Escalate Attack On Trump Official

What we are witnessing today is an unprecedented abuse of power by elected officials against their political enemies.

Never before in American history have bodies of lawmakers weaponized their office to enact such blatant and unconstitutional political takedowns of opponents.

To keep Donald Trump as far away from Washington as they can, House Democrats are slowly-but-surely picking off his former officials by demanding they play along in their reindeer games. Nancy Pelosi’s House Select Committee investigating the origins of the Jan. 6 protests have issued phony subpoenas against many of Trump’s former inner circle despite their executive privilege protections laid out in the Constitution.

The Democrats truly believe that Donald Trump has some type of magic psychic powers over his supporters, forcing them to storm the Capitol on Jan. 6, despite his repeated calls for non-violence and peaceful protest.

Steve Bannon, Trump’s former White House advisor, is the Democrats’ first target in their Trump takedown mission.

On Thursday, the House voted to hold Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with subpoenas from the Jan. 6 witch hunt committee. Bannon, under the advice of Trump’s legal team, cites executive privilege as the main reason for his noncompliance.

And rightfully so!

Now it’s up to Biden’s Department of Justice to decide if criminal charges will be filed against Bannon.

He is one of the dozens of individuals who have received subpoenas or requests for information from the committee about the events on the day of and leading up to Jan. 6.

Thursday’s vote came just two days after the Jan. 6 select committee unanimously voted to recommend holding Bannon in contempt.

Republican House leaders did not formally whip votes in Bannon’s favor, but urged members to vote against it.

However, your typical RINOs, those who you’d expect to vote for Trump’s demise, agreed that Bannon should be held in contempt.

Those RINOs are:

  • Liz Cheney of Wyoming
  • Adam Kinzinger of Illinois
  • Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania
  • Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio
  • Jaime Herrera Beutler of Washington
  • John Katko of New York
  • Nancy Mace of South Carolina
  • Peter Meijer of Michigan
  • Fred Upton of Michigan

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and his right hand Rep. Jim Banks of Ohio argue that the 1/6 Democrats are wholly out of bounds, claiming their investigation is unethical and against rules of Congress, a legislative body.

“Congress is prohibited from conducting criminal investigations, period,” Banks said on the House floor before Bannon’s contempt vote.

He added: “Congress can only issue subpoenas that serve a legislative purpose. The question that the committee must answer is, why are they seeking information about a permitted political rally?”

Meanwhile, there hasn’t been even one utterance of concern from the 1/6 committee as to why Nancy Pelosi and other Democrat leaders rebuffed or denied added security for the permitted political rally that day.

It’s almost as if they knew it would escalate, but allowed it to happen anyway. And not only allowed it, but fanned the flames, called off security and told police officers to stand down, all in the hopes they could use the events to justify a takedown of Donald Trump and his associates.

Are you paying attention yet?

To top it off, Biden proved his DOJ is not only impartial, but wholly biased when he remarked that anyone violating the 1/6 subpoenas should be prosecuted. Concerns were raised about political activism within the DOJ following Biden’s comments as the department is designed to make independent legal decisions.

It could take years to litigate Bannon’s refusal to comply with the subpoena and for Congress to administer holding him in contempt.

The Democrats are merely engaging in political theater, a performance to signal their intention to take down the Former President any way they can.
