Biden’s Press Secretary Blasted for Needing Help During Pressers

We’ve seen, again and again, the low caliber of staff who work for Joe Biden. Perhaps the worst has been his press team.

Those who haven’t resigned in recent months rarely seem prepared. His current press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, often can’t even answer questions. She is seen flipping through binders for information, often coming up empty. Once she even scolded CNN’s Don Lemon for asking a question about Biden’s advanced age.

And now, people are criticizing Biden’s top press officer for relying on others during press briefings.

Since the start of her tenure May 16 through the end of last week, Jean-Pierre has conducted 38 total press briefings and gaggles with reporters. Of those times she’s fielded questions, 25 of them, or about 66 percent, came with at least a second person joining her at the microphone…

DePauw University professor and media critic Jeffrey McCall believes “it’s clear Jean-Pierre has struggled in her role as press secretary” and having a partner on stage could be a sign the administration isn’t confident in her…

“Having the administration repeatedly send other spokesmen to the podium would rhetorically signal a lack of confidence in Jean-Pierre’s performance,” McCall told Fox News Digital. [Source: Fox News]

Sixty-six percent of the time, Jean-Pierre has appeared before the press with someone else alongside of her. By comparison, the previous White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, only had someone else with her 26% of the time.

It seems that Jean-Pierre’s performance, or better put lack of performance, has shaken the administration’s confidence in her. The press secretary rarely seems prepared for tough questions. She is forced to thumb through massive binders for information—because she wasn’t preparing beforehand. And, even with large binders, she can’t answer many questions.

Perhaps the administration thought having a second person there would provide some relief for Jean-Pierre? Give all the tough questions to the other guy, so she doesn’t look so bad.

The problem is, the other person is rarely better. Biden’s administration is made up of political lackeys with little leadership experience. His Transportation head, Pete Buttigieg, was the failed mayor of South Bend, who was largely hated by his own town. His other cabinet members are equally pathetic.

But that doesn’t matter, because this administration is all about appearances, not action. It cannot fix the many problems it created, because all its members are not talented, skilled, or experienced.

They only look the part of leaders, and not very much at that. It comes as no surprise that the woman hired to lead the White House’s press team can’t even answer questions from the press—literally her only job.

Biden only looked at her race and gender as qualifications for the post—as he’s done for every other job opening.
