Bad For Biden: 7 Of 10 Americans Believe This

According to a YouGov/Economist poll, the great majority of participants think that President Joe Biden’s America is “out of control.”

The survey, which released on Wednesday, asked 1,755 Americans to rate how “under control” or “out of control” they thought “things in this nation these days are.” Just 16 percent of respondents think that things are “under control,” compared to the vast majority of 68 percent who say that matters are “out of control.”

It coincides with a wave of anti-Israel demonstrations that have taken over college campuses, a withering economy from 40 years of record inflation, and an ongoing illegal immigration issue at the southern border of the United States.

According to the study, more Democrats (48%) than Republicans (31%) think that “things” in the US are out of control. Merely five percent expressed no view at all.

Nearly 90% of Republicans and 70% of independents think that things are out of hand in the nation. Only 11% of independents believe that the nation is under control. The majority believe it is out of control in every sub-demographic, including age, income, gender, and race.

Comparably, according to the survey, 21 percent of Americans believe that the nation is “usually moving in the right direction,” while 66 percent believe that it is “off on the wrong track.” Twelve percent were agnostic about everything.

Majorities across all age, gender, and income categories, as well as 72% of independents, 87% of Republicans, and 42% of Democrats, think the nation is going in the wrong direction.

In this survey, 37% of respondents approve of Biden, while 58% disapprove of his job as president.

Prices and inflation ranked as the most significant issues for voters in this poll, according to 23% of participants. Nearly all respondents (96 percent) stated that inflation and pricing were critical concerns to them, even though they may not have personally chosen them as their top concerns. Among the total respondents, 77% stated that the problem is “extremely significant.”

In terms of his inflation management, Biden has a pitiful popularity rating of just 29%, and 61 percent of voters are dissatisfied with his approach.

We conducted the survey between April 28 and 30, 2024, with a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points.
