In the aftermath of recent shootings, Democrats pushed hard for radical new gun restrictions. The far left, with Joe Biden’s support, demanded a ban on “assault weapons” as well as other measures to prevent law-abiding citizens from purchasing or owning firearms.
Republicans, or at least the ones that care about the Constitution, pushed back with demands for better protection for public schools. Democrats refused, putting forward a gun control bill. The package had little chance of passing in the Senate… until Republican Sen. Cornyn convinced 13 other Republicans to back it.
And soon after that measure passed, he talked about passing another one of Biden’s schemes: amnesty for illegal aliens.

After Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) tapped Cornyn to negotiate a deal on gun control, he was reported to on Tuesday night promised to move forward on a deal on amnesty.
“First guns, now it’s immigration,” Cornyn told Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA).
“That’s right, we’re going to do it,” said Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ)…
Andrew Surabian, a former Donald Trump administration official, said in reaction to Cornyn’s pledge for amesty, “From selling out on gun control to selling out on amnesty in light speed.” [Source: Breitbart]
On the eve of one of the most important midterm elections, Cornyn sabotages the country by pushing Biden’s gun control agenda. He then “jokes” about passing legislation that would give 11 million illegals citizenship, which would certainly attract millions more to our border.
Do these D.C. imbeciles have any clue what they are doing? Is Cornyn so corrupt that he’d betray his own party in a heartbeat? This man thinks he’s safe. He won re-election in 2020. Perhaps he plans cash out before he’s up for re-election again, unconcerned with how his pro-Biden moves will hurt Americans.
For anyone in the GOP to be cooperating with Biden is beyond the pale. Joe Biden spat in America’s eye from the moment he entered the White House. He has crippled this country, turned Americans against each other, and refused to work with conservatives from day one.
Yet Cornyn so easily supported a bill that will make it harder for young Americans to acquire firearms (among other restrictions).
Why are Republicans wasting time compromising with Democrats? Are they really so greedy, so blinded by the D.C. swamp?
