Adam Schiff Promises Revenge Against Republicans

After Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), the House Speaker, said he would keep Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (Dem-CA) off of the House Intel Committee, Schiff pledged retaliation.

“Kevin McCarthy recently removed Rep. Swalwell and me from the Intelligence Committee. It is a small-minded political retaliation for looking into Donald Trump,” Schiff tweeted. “If he believes that this is going to stop me, he will quickly realize how mistaken he is. I’ll always stand up for our democracy.”

McCarthy told reporters earlier this month that he intended to uphold his word to exclude Schiff and Swalwell from the intelligence committee.

Schiff championed the flawed Trump-Russia connection idea while serving as the chairman of the intelligence committee. Additionally, according to Breitbart News, while acting as the primary impeachment director, Schiff “famously played out a made-up call involving former president Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, for dramatic purposes amidst Dems. trying to impeach Trump.”

McCarthy stated to the media earlier this month during a news conference that “Adam Schiff brazenly lied to the American people. He subjected America to a four-year impeachment process that he knew was a deception at the same time Afghanistan fell apart and we had Ukraine.  Was that the Intel Committee’s responsibility? No.”

McCarthy, on the other hand, criticized Swalwell for having close sexual relations with a Chinese agent named Fang Fang.

“Let me be very clear with you: if you had received the FBI briefing I did, you would never have Swalwell on any panel,” McCarthy told the media. “In the private sector, He cannot obtain a security clearance.”

McCarthy repeatedly vowed to keep Schiff and Swalwell off the Intel Committee if the Republicans won the majority and he had the speakership during the previous Congress when they were in the minority.

“When I become Speaker, I’ll guarantee you this: Schiff will no longer be on the Intel Committee,” McCarthy said to Fox News in June. “What’s more, Swalwell won’t either, you know. I’m not sure that this is a high standard. On the other hand, you shouldn’t be permitted to serve on the Intel Committee if you have ties to a Chinese spy.”
