This Means War: Farmers Rise Up Against New Regulations

The progressive left is begging for war.

Left-wing leaders demand total submission as they strip citizens of their basic rights, evident by recent policies that seek to control a bevy of decisions made by individuals.

Progressives have made themselves clear: They will sacrifice certain individuals who defy climate change initiatives if it means silencing any dissent. They will tank the economy, unleash medical tyranny, and intrude into our private lives for the sole purpose of maintaining total control.

This was made obvious once again by a leader in the progressive movement, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Trudeau has just released a federal edict demanding a 30% reduction in fertilizer emissions in the country, sparking intense backlash from farmers and provincial agriculture ministers, who argue the target will decrease crop output, increase prices, and cost farmers billions in lost revenue.

As a result, Canadian farmers have risen up in protest against Trudeau’s initiative.

Similar to their Dutch counterparts, who are currently rising up against a climate-change plan in The Netherlands, farmers in Canada have warned that Trudeau’s regulations will cause mass suffering, less efficiency, and higher prices for food.

Keep in mind, progressives don’t mind the suffering of individuals. In fact, they see mass suffering as a ‘growing pain,’ if you will — an unfortunate byproduct of the journey toward global eco-fascism.

Trudeau’s supposed goal is to “reduce absolute levels of GHG emissions arising from fertilizer application,” as part of his mission to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2030, which is precisely Biden’s plan as well.

Farming is a major sector of the Canadian economy. In 2021, the country exported nearly $82.2 billion in agriculture and food products, and the agriculture and agrifood sector accounts for roughly 6.8% of its annual gross domestic product.

“Farmers don’t need the government to tell them how to properly use fertilizer. We engage crop consultants, soil tests and use the latest technology available to us,” Gunter Jochum, president of the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association, said in a statement.

A recent study commissioned by the association found that the new targets would cost Canada’s so-called “prairie provinces” billions in lost grain revenue by 2030— including $2.95 billion from Alberta, $4.61 billion from Saskatchewan, and $1.58 billion from Manitoba.

Meanwhile, there’s been whispers of similar regulations happening in the United States as part of Biden’s 2030 net-zero carbon plan.

Like the truckers before them, farmers in Canada are rising up against their tyrannical government. Will American farmers do the same?
