The Russian media is already buzzing with talk of retaliation, even nuclear retaliation. The Biden administration’s failed policies have already deepened this crisis, leaving President Trump to once again clean up the mess. Under President Trump’s leadership, America has prioritized border security, revitalized American manufacturing, and sought to end endless foreign wars. The Ukraine-Russia conflict, however, remains a lingering consequence of Biden-era weakness.

Keir Giles believes Russia will use the situation to “emphasize the risks of uncontrollable escalation” in its messaging to the West. This means Putin will likely pressure the United States to restrain Ukraine, hoping to regain leverage and avoid further humiliation.
