There is a new study that says the moderator of the ABC News presidential debate tomorrow never attacks anything that Kamala Harris does.
According to a new report from the Media Research Center (MRC), of the “Big Three” evening newscasts, one comes out as being very biased against Donald Trump, Kamala Harris’s Republican opponent: David Muir as the host of ABC’s World News Tonight.
Not only that, but guess who is co-moderating the presidential discussion with ABC reporter Linsey Davis? Yes, it is David Muir.
A lot of people will probably use the discussion to support and promote Kamala Harris while smearing and harming Donald Trump from the speaker on down. As you might expect, but the numbers on Muir’s clear bias might even surprise people who don’t trust the major media.
From the study by the Media Research Center:
“MRC researchers looked at all 100 campaign stories that played on ABC’s World News Tonight from July 21, when Harris first ran for office, through September 6, including weekends. Our researchers found 25 clearly positive comments about Harris from reporters, news presenters, voters, and other non-partisan sources. They found no negative statements. That adds up to a 100% good spin score for the Vice President, which defies gravity.”
“As for Trump, our experts found only five clearly positive comments, compared to 66 negative ones. This gave him a terrible spin score of only 7% positive (93% negative).”
MRC did point out that Muir’s show sometimes used quotes from Republicans to criticize Harris, but Harris himself never did that. There were no writers or “nonpartisan sources” who called out Harris’s many mistakes.
In the study, MRC also left out soundbites from Democrats attacking Trump. However, there were many times when ABC reporters criticized Trump or played clips from “nonpartisan sources” that were bad about him.
“During the same weeks, both the CBS Evening News and the NBC Nightly News gave Harris very good coverage and mostly bad coverage for Trump, though not as much as ABC’s World News Tonight.”
“Harris got 94% positive coverage on CBS and 71% positive coverage on NBC. This is generally good press, but not as good as the 100% positive coverage she got on ABC.”
“As for Trump, 77% of CBS coverage was negative and 86% of NBC coverage was negative. This was very unfriendly, but not as terrible as the 93% negative coverage he got on ABC.”
