Halle Berry Blasts Newsom: A Bold Call Out

Actress Halle Berry recently took a strong shot at California Governor Gavin Newsom. Speaking at a major business event in New York, Berry didn’t hold back. She made it clear she’s fed up with how Newsom has treated women her age, especially when it comes to health care during menopause. And she went even further—saying flat-out that Newsom should not be the next President of the United States.

Let’s break this down from a veteran’s point of view. We’ve seen a lot of politicians over the years make promises they don’t keep. Most of them talk a good game, but when it comes time to act, they fold. That seems to be the case here. The bill Berry was talking about—the Advancing Menopause Care and Mid-Life Women’s Health Act—isn’t some wild liberal idea. It’s a bipartisan plan. That means both Republicans and Democrats saw value in it. The goal? To put $275 million toward better education and research around menopause. That includes training doctors and informing the public.

Now, this isn’t about Hollywood drama. It’s about real people dealing with real health issues. And it’s about a politician who claims to care about progress and equality, but won’t back it up when it counts. Newsom vetoed this bill not once, but two years in a row. That’s not leadership. That’s cowardice.

Halle Berry may be an actress, but she’s also a business owner and a woman who’s lived through what she’s talking about. She’s not whining—she’s speaking from experience. She says at 59, women are made to feel invisible. In the military, we know age doesn’t define your worth. Some of the sharpest NCOs and officers I ever served with had gray hair and bad knees, but they were still leading from the front. In civilian life, though, Berry says women are told they’re only valuable if they look young. That’s a broken system.

Berry also said she doesn’t have any more “f’s to give”—and good for her. That kind of blunt honesty is rare in Hollywood, and frankly, it’s refreshing. She’s calling out a double standard. And she’s doing it with the kind of straight talk we appreciate in the veteran community.

Now, let’s be honest: Gavin Newsom has been trying to set himself up as the next big thing in the Democrat Party. But if he can’t even support a common-sense health bill that helps half the population, what does that say about his leadership? Nothing good. A man who ignores the needs of women at a critical stage in life doesn’t deserve a promotion to the Oval Office.

We’ve already seen what weak leadership gets us. Under Biden, we had open borders, rising crime, inflation, and a military that was more focused on pronouns than combat readiness. That’s why Americans voted to bring back President Trump. We want strength, not slick hair and empty speeches.

And here’s the truth: real leadership means standing up for all Americans, including women in mid-life. Supporting health research isn’t a partisan issue. It’s about doing what’s right. Newsom failed that test. Twice.

Berry may be from California and may have spent her career in Hollywood, but she’s got grit. She’s standing up and speaking out, and she’s not afraid to call out a powerful politician who dropped the ball. She’s also reminding us that age doesn’t make you less valuable—it makes you wise.

So, to sum it up: Gavin Newsom had a chance to do the right thing, and he blew it. Halle Berry called him out for it, and she’s right. If he can’t handle a health bill in his own state, he sure doesn’t belong anywhere near the presidency.
