If you haven’t been following the J6 Commission’s narrative, I don’t blame you. But here’s the skinny, to catch you up to speed. Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats (along with their allies in the media) are pushing the claim that Donald Trump is responsible for the Capitol Building riot on January 6, 2021.
All the televised hearings have failed to do so, however, since there is no firm evidence that Trump “ordered” anyone to enter the Capitol Building illegally. Yet, the left continues to push this claim, to undermine Americans’ view of the 45th president—and to, perhaps, build a case for keeping him off the 2024 ballots.
But their entire argument was just torpedoed, by the Department of Justice no less.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is arguing the founder and members of the Oath Keepers militia group who entered the U.S. Capitol on January 6 cannot blame former President Donald Trump for their actions…
“President Trump did not have the authority to permit or authorize a conspiracy to forcibly oppose the authority of the government or the execution of the laws of the United States, nor could he have lawfully sanctioned the attack on the United States Capitol on Jan. 6 or any of the other criminal conduct allegedly perpetrated by defendants.” [Source: Breitbart]
So, why does this matter? Because the DOJ has officially made a statement that Donald Trump did not “authorize” the Oath Keepers’ action on January 6. Why would a Biden-led DOJ do this?
If you remember, the left is trying to throw the book at people involved in the Capitol Riot. Bystanders, civilians, and suburban grandmas have been locked away in prison for over a year. All so that Democrats can send a message to Americans that, if you dare question the 2020 Election results, you are an “insurrectionist” and might be treated the same as these folks.
It is a dirty, underhanded, and criminal agenda. But in order for it to work, everyone being charged need to face strong penalties.
But, if it turns out that Donald Trump “authorized” the riot, then those on trial might get off. So, the Department of Justice has to make it painfully clear that Trump did not order the Oath Keepers to attack the Capitol. And if he didn’t do that, then the left can’t claim he was behind anything that happened on that day.
So, you see, Democrats’ obsession with attacking conservatives and American citizens is getting in the way of their agenda against Donald Trump.
Two wrongs don’t make a right. And, in this case, two evil agendas are blowing up in the left’s face.
Not that they’ll admit this or back down.
