The scoreboard is finally lit up, folks. The Department of Justice just reviewed somewhere between 50 and 60 million voter registration records across 16 states and the results are exactly what we’ve been saying for years: America’s voter rolls are a dumpster fire. Over 300,000 dead voters. Tens of thousands of non-citizens. Indictments already landing. And the best part? They’ve only scratched the surface.
Somebody get the “most secure election in history” people a paper bag to breathe into.
Assistant AG Harmeet Dhillon dropped these numbers during a press briefing and they are absolutely devastating. Three hundred thousand dead people still registered as active voters. Tens of thousands of non-citizens parked on voter rolls. Dozens of those non-citizens confirmed to have actually cast ballots in federal elections. This is from just 16 cooperating states out of 50.
You know who isn’t cooperating? California, New York, Illinois, Michigan, and basically every state that screamed “voter fraud is a myth” for the last six years. Twenty-nine states and DC are currently being sued by the DOJ for refusing to hand over their voter registration data. A few Obama-appointed judges have already tossed those lawsuits, because of course they did. The DOJ appealed every single one.
The poster child for this whole operation is a charming fellow named Mahady Sacko — an illegal alien from Mauritania who was ordered deported in the year 2000. Instead of getting on a plane, Sacko set up shop in Philadelphia and became one of the most dedicated voters in Pennsylvania history. He cast ballots in seven federal elections over the next two decades, including every presidential election from 2008 through 2024.
ICE actually caught him back in 2007 but couldn’t deport him because Mauritania wouldn’t issue a passport. So our brilliant immigration system just released him back into the wild. And he kept right on voting. (Your government, ladies and gentlemen. Give them a round of applause.)
Sacko is now facing federal charges that could put him away for five years. But he’s just the first domino. The DOJ has referred tens of thousands of potential non-citizen voter cases for federal prosecution. Guilty pleas are coming in from Michigan. Indictments are dropping in New Jersey. Dhillon says dozens more confirmed illegal voters haven’t even been charged yet.
The SAVE Act — which would require proof of citizenship to register and photo ID to vote in federal elections — just cleared a 51-48 Senate vote to advance debate. Every Republican voted for it except Lisa Murkowski, who is apparently worried that Alaskans — people who carry bear spray and hunting licenses everywhere they go — can’t handle showing an ID at a polling station. Thanks for that, Lisa.
So where does this go from here? Buckle up.
Bill Clinton’s 1993 Motor Voter Act is the root of this entire mess. That genius piece of legislation made it so easy to register to vote at the DMV that non-citizens have been getting added to voter rolls — accidentally and otherwise — for over three decades. It was basically an open invitation: “Come get your driver’s license and we’ll throw in a voter registration for free! No proof of citizenship required!” No previous administration ever had the spine to audit the damage. Trump’s DOJ is the first to actually pull the rolls apart and count the bodies. Literally.
The math tells you exactly where this is headed. They found 300,000 dead registrants and tens of thousands of non-citizens in just 16 states. Those 16 states represent roughly a third of the country’s voter registrations. If the same rate holds across all 50 states — and there’s no reason to think the non-cooperating blue states are cleaner — we’re looking at something north of 900,000 dead registrants and potentially over 100,000 non-citizens nationwide sitting on active voter rolls.
“But non-citizen voting is extremely rare!” the Democrats will screech. Sure. Tell that to Mahady Sacko, who voted in seven elections from Philadelphia and nobody noticed for a quarter of a century. If one guy in one city pulled that off for 26 years, how many more are out there in 29 states that refuse to let anyone check?
The 29 holdout states are now staring down a beautiful lose-lose. If the courts force them to hand over their data, the DOJ will find the same filth — or worse — and the indictments will multiply before November. If they manage to keep blocking the DOJ, Trump’s team will hammer them through the midterms: “What are you hiding in those voter rolls? Why won’t you let us look?” Every press conference. Every rally. Every campaign ad.
Either way, voter integrity becomes the defining issue of the 2026 midterms. And that is terrain where Democrats absolutely do not want to fight.
The last time voter ID polled nationally, over 75% of Americans supported it — including majorities of Democrats and minorities. The SAVE Act might die in a filibuster this session, but every single Democrat who votes against proof-of-citizenship requirements is going to see Mahady Sacko’s mugshot in a campaign ad by September. Mark my words.
Someone registered 300,000 dead people to vote. Someone put tens of thousands of non-citizens on active voter rolls. And for thirty years, nobody in power wanted to count how many there were because the answer was going to be embarrassing. Now someone is counting, and the number starts with 300,000 — from barely a third of the country.
The indictments are just getting started. And November is getting closer every day.
