DeSantis Reveals Who His VP Could Be

Ron DeSantis, a Republican running for president, revealed to reporters this week that he is thinking about selecting Kim Reynolds as his running partner.

DeSantis made the comments during a forum with Tucker Carlson where he praised the well-liked Iowa governor.

At an event this week, a reporter addressed DeSantis, “Governor, you have spent a great deal of your time with Governor Reynolds, you defended her following President Trump’s recent comments. Would you think about picking her as a running mate in this election?”

Naturally, DeSantis replied. She’s one of the best public servants in America, therefore I thought the assaults on her were completely needless and out of hand.

He said, “We ought to be thanking good Republican officials. We kind of make fun of the Iowa-Florida rivalry by saying that occasionally they act before we do. However, I really want them to succeed more than we do since it’s good for them. I appreciate it when Republicans succeed, I don’t feel envious of it, and I want to see them succeed.”

“And so,” he said, “They have done a great job, and I believe she’s been a model public servant. I believe anyone who’s a Republican who is attempting to disparage her is way off base on that.”

Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), who was standing next to DeSantis as he spoke, nodded in accord with his statements.
