You know the Republican Party is doomed when key lawmakers become eager to work with Democrats on Second Amendment restrictions against law-abiding Americans while doing nothing to stop the crime wave plaguing major American cities today.
We’ve reached the point where the Second Amendment is merely a jumping-off point for legislators to debate the moment a tragedy strikes at the hands of psychopathic killers.
Let’s get one thing clear: Regardless of tragedy, no matter how violent or deadly, the right to defend oneself from tyrannical governments using a firearm is non-negotiable. Like free speech, it’s a staple in American society — and completely necessary as the federal government encroaches further into our private lives.
We at least thought the Republican Party had a reasonable understanding of why the Second Amendment was vital — we were wrong.
A bipartisan group of Senators has inched even closer to a compromise on gun control, according to Democrats’ lead negotiator. On Tuesday, the Democrat lawmaker revealed that votes were currently being lined up for an incremental but historic gun control package in response to multiple mass shootings this year that stunned the nation.
It only took Republican Senators nine days to sell out all of their conservative principles and kowtow to the left in restricting gun rights. It’s been nearly 30 years since Congress last enacted major legislation in an attempt to curb gun violence, noted by Sen. Chris Murphy, the lead Democrat negotiator.
Good morning.
Last night, the Senate voted 64-34 to move forward with debate on our life saving gun violence bill – the most significant change in our nation's gun laws in 30 years.
I will be on @Morning_Joe on @MSNBC at 7:30 this morning to talk about how we did it.

The legislation lawmakers have been working toward would toughen background checks for the youngest firearms buyers, require more sellers to conduct background checks, and beefs up penalties on gun traffickers. It also would disburse money to states and communities aimed at improving school safety and mental health initiatives.
In other words, the federal government will begin bribing states with money to enact stricter gun policies.
“I’m positive we’ve reached an agreement,” Murphy said. “I think we’re in good shape.”
The lead GOP negotiator, Sen. John Cornyn, is the key GOP negotiator responsible for dismantling the Constitution on a ‘bipartisan level’.
Today we released text of our bill to make attacks like the one in Uvalde less likely, while protecting the Second Amendment.
I am proud that this mental health and school safety bill places NO NEW RESTRICTIONS on law-abiding gun owners.

He delivered a speech on the Senator floor to announce an agreement has been made with Democrats.
Senate bargainers reached an agreement on a bipartisan gun violence bill, potentially teeing up final passage by week’s end. "This is a breakthrough," said Sen. Included in the bill is a new distinction of “romantic relationships” on the background check, which would close the “boyfriend loop” gun-grabbing liberals have been going on about for years now.
Additionally, if passed, the bill will provide federal aid to states that have “red flag” laws that make it easier to temporarily take firearms away from people deemed too dangerous.
We’re in for some dark times if Congress takes one step further in restricting gun access for law-abiding citizens — very dark times, indeed.
