If there was ever a time to stand firm, defend our values, and remember who our enemies are, it’s right now. A disturbing new video from Sa’ad bin Atef al-Awlaki, the radical Islamist leader of al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), has emerged, openly calling for the assassination of President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and even Elon Musk.
Let’s be crystal clear: AQAP is no fringe group inventing empty threats. Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula has been a designated foreign terrorist organization for many years, responsible for deadly attacks and plots against Americans. Al-Awlaki himself carries a $6 million bounty from the U.S. State Department. His words aren’t idle chatter—they are a direct incitement of violence against our leaders and our citizens.
In this chilling 34-minute video, translated and released by MEMRI, al-Awlaki openly urges Muslim Americans to take matters into their own hands, declaring, “I call upon every Muslim in the infidel, criminal, and arrogant United States… Revenge! Revenge! Do not consult anyone about killing infidel Americans.” It is a sickening, twisted appeal designed to inspire lone wolves right here on American soil. The explicit call to target American leaders, their families, and even private citizens connected to institutions he deems supportive of Israel or the U.S. military is both shocking and intolerable.

Such rhetoric goes beyond mere threats. It is incitement to terrorism itself—something we cannot, and will not, tolerate. Al-Awlaki specifically praised notorious assassins and terrorists, including Thomas Crooks, the man who attempted to murder President Trump, and Elias Rodriguez, who has been charged with killing two Israeli Embassy staff members in Washington. This terrorist leader is openly encouraging more attacks, more bloodshed, and more chaos against those who defend America and support Israel.
What makes this latest threat even more disturbing is al-Awlaki’s targeting of American innovation and economy itself. He explicitly singled out Elon Musk and his companies as legitimate targets, alongside Microsoft, defense contractors, and institutions he accuses of aiding the U.S. military. He urged hackers and radical activists to attack America’s economic infrastructure, hoping to destabilize our nation through cyber-terrorism and economic sabotage.
This call to arms comes as President Trump continues to rebuild American strength, secure our borders, and reassert American dominance on the world stage. Clearly, our enemies are growing desperate—they’ve witnessed the resurgence of American power, the revival of our manufacturing base, and the renewed commitment to America’s national sovereignty. This latest threat is further proof that Trump’s America First policies are working; it’s no coincidence that radical Islamists feel threatened enough to lash out with violent rhetoric and desperate calls for assassination.
We must remain vigilant. President Trump has rightly prioritized border security, military preparedness, and cracking down on radical extremism domestically. Now is not the time for complacency. Our law enforcement agencies, intelligence community, and military must remain alert and proactive, ensuring that these terrorist threats never become tragic realities.
Moreover, we cannot overlook the ideological roots of this hatred: a radical Islamist worldview that despises Western values, rejects freedom, and seeks to destroy Israel and America alike. Al-Awlaki’s twisted invocation of events in Gaza to justify terror against innocent people here at home only underscores the dangerous fanaticism we face. We must continue standing with our ally Israel, unequivocally rejecting terrorist propaganda, and refusing to give one inch to these violent extremists.
Finally, we must hold accountable any nation or government that harbors or tolerates terror. Al-Awlaki’s call to target Arab nations he deems insufficiently hostile to Israel is a stark reminder that terrorism knows no boundaries, and appeasement never works. President Trump’s tough stance on state sponsors of terror and his firm commitment to peace through strength are more critical now than ever.
Americans must remain resolute. Together, with unwavering determination, we will continue to defend our nation, our leaders, and our allies. Let al-Awlaki and his terrorist ilk hear this loud and clear: America will never surrender to fear, never waver in our convictions, and never back down.
