However, it turns out that there’s considerably more of a tangle than that, involving even fundamental issues like proper mechanics.
Not even the media was pleased with the current situation.
The senator pointed out that although Kamala Harris had been receiving favorable news, the DNC’s operations had angered the media.
“Logistical difficulties, including lengthy wait times, slow internet, high prices, and restricted floor access, left many of the 15,000 credentialed media members complaining, and their representatives publicly opposing the conference organizers.”
The apolitical Standing Committee of Correspondents, which represents the media at political conventions on Capitol Hill, expressed concern in a statement shared with Semafor that the decision to cut dedicated and accessible workspace by hundreds compared to previous conventions will make it more difficult for journalists to cover the historic nature of this convention.”
They begged the DNC for additional room, but they received no response.
Additionally, it costs extra (which makes sense given that it’s a Democratic party).
“TV network officials informed Semafor that the cost of the event was also higher.” The broadcast suites at the United Center were significantly smaller and almost twice as expensive as those at the RNC one month prior.”
They also referred to the RNC’s “smoothly run event” as a distinction between the DNC and the RNC.
One Trump aide was clear about its significance.
