Team Trump Now Unstoppable? New Polls Are Shockingly Good

Six states in the Electoral College have changed in favor of former President Trump, according to a new report, adding to the consequences of President Biden’s dismal debate performance against him last week.

Three states— Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada—went from being classified as “toss-up” to “lean Republican,” while two other states—Michigan and New Hampshire—went from being classified as “likely” to “lean Dem,” according to the Cook Political Report, which was issued on Tuesday. Additionally, the 2nd District in Nebraska changed from “likely” to “lean Dem.”

According to Dave Wasserman of the Cook Political Report, Trump has a “clear lead” against Biden based on the Electoral Map.

Wasserman stated on X that “the concept that the presidential [race] is a toss-up is a big stretch.” “Trump has a substantial lead over Biden right now and a far more likely route to 270 electoral votes.”

Cook Political Report Editor-in-Chief Amy Walter reported that elites in Washington are hoping that the unfavorable polling figures will force Biden to declare his withdrawal from the ticket.

Walter stated, “Insiders with whom we contacted over the weekend predicted a ‘deluge’ of Dem congressional defections.” “As of this week, those desertions have only reached a trickle. Nevertheless, a lot of anxious Democrats farther down the ticket and funders are holding out hope that Team Biden will recognize the signs and politely declare his withdrawal from the campaign when faced with declining polling and a hostile media corps. According to this writing, the prospect appears unlikely.

Walter said, “We can attempt to soberly appraise where things stand now and where they could go from here, but we can’t wave away the uncertainty of this moment.”

According to the Washington Examiner, the research also revealed that Trump leads by more than three points in Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia, and by less than a point in Michigan and Wisconsin. In Pennsylvania, however, Trump leads by just 0.7 points. Two points might make a big difference in the race, according to Walter.

Walter stated that if Trump’s performance in 2020 would have improved by seven points if he were to win the popular vote by about three points, for instance. In other words, every district or state Biden won by eight points or less was eligible.
