As the left becomes more emboldened, they’ve begun making the grave mistake of pushing the envelope further and further once an issue has been reasonably settled.
Let’s take abortion as an example.
The Supreme Court settled on Roe v. Wade in 1973, which essentially federalized access to abortion and prevented states from issuing total bans on the procedure. But instead of taking the victory, pro-abortion radicals increased the stakes and began making ridiculous (and frankly evil) demands, such as post-birth abortions, or infanticide.
The same can be said about a bevy of social justice topics, most pertinently the fight for ‘transgender rights.’
Title IX has recently been under attack by the Biden administration as they attempt to once again push the envelope and change the decades-old legislation to include transgender individuals.
Title IX is the most commonly used name for the federal civil rights law in the U.S. that was passed as part of the Education Amendments of 1972. It prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or any other education program that receives funding from the federal government.
Just last week, the Biden administration attempted to rewrite a portion of the legislation affecting women’s private facilities and sports, essentially expanding Title IX protections to include gender identity and sexual orientation.
Judge Charles Atchley for the Eastern District of Tennessee temporarily blocked the proposal Friday after a lawsuit brought forward by 20 Republican attorneys general challenged the rule’s constitutionality.
The attorneys general say their states are in danger of losing federal funding for education because their policies and laws keep them from complying with Title IX, which applies to federally-funded institutions, the lawsuit states. They argue the proposed revisions force schools to call transgender students by their pronouns, violating the First Amendment, and infringe on powers given to the states, violating the Tenth Amendment.
Gender and sexual ideology have become a mainstay not just in the Democrat Party, but in the religious order of neoliberalism. Defying gender ideology in any way is considered blasphemous and sinners must repent before returning to polite liberal society.
The Biden administration is merely attempting to codify neoliberal beliefs (fascism) into law, forcing Americans to comply with progressive speech codes and religious ceremonies.
Biden’s DOJ and DOE vow to continue the fight to expand Title IX protections after Atchley’s order.
