‘Wokeness’ Infiltrates Another Major Sports League – No One could Have Predicted This

In this day and age, long-standing sports that used to embrace patriotism and American values have fallen to leftists. From the MLB to the NBA to the NFL, major sports leagues have bent the knee to the left’s woke agenda, exploiting their platforms to push radical politics. Perhaps the most perplexing league to do this is NASCAR.

Last year, NASCAR’s president vowed to use the popular pastime to push social justice. Citing a poll where a fraction of fans was on board, the league decided it was time to ignore decades of patriotism to embrace a toxic, leftist agenda. Since that time, NASCAR has suffered a loss of fans and respect, the same as every other sport that has gone down that path.

Have they learned their lesson? Nope. Because now, they are promising to sue anyone who celebrates a popular slogan, using their logos.

NASCAR President Steve Phelps has threatened to sue those who use the “Let’s Go, Brandon” slogan on merchandise featuring the NASCAR’s trademarks and has condemned the use of the slogan, claiming that NASCAR does not want to be associated with politics…

“We will pursue whoever (is using logos) and get that stuff,” Phelps said. “That’s not OK. It’s not OK that you’re using our trademarks illegally, regardless of whether we agree with what the position is.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Phelps, the same man who condemned NASCAR to embrace social justice, is promising to sue anyone who uses NACAR imagery on merch with “Let’s Go Brandon.” The reason he is ready to attack his own fan base? Because he refuses to be associated with politics.

Um… is this guy serious? He’s the same man who torched his league’s future by committing to pushing the politics of the radical left. Yet now that some NASCAR fans are expressing their political views, he’s suddenly against it?

Hypocrite, much?

It’s pretty clear that Phelps is a stooge for the left, like so many others in the public eye. He got rich and famous thanks to the support of millions of patriotic Americans. But now, he wants the respect of the liberal establishment, so he’s going woke. And as a good little soldier for the left, he needs to condemn a trend that embarrasses and outrages them.

Instead of supporting his fanbase, letting them do whatever they want, he is actually willing to sue them. B-but, I thought the crowd was just cheering on NASCAR driver Brandon Brown? Isn’t that what the media told us? Why would Phelps be so upset that a chant for one of his drivers is becoming popular?

Because everyone knows this chant is mocking the left. They tried to cover up shouts against Joe Biden, and now people are saying this to both criticizing the failed president and ridicule or pathetic media.

For NASCAR’s president to even get involved, in this pitiful attempt to discourage this trend, is proof the left is running scared. Does he really think this threat is going to stop Americans from using this phrase? After all his years in NASCAR, he really doesn’t know Americans.
