Watch: New DeSantis Ad Infuriates Liberals

A new digital video released by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R) campaign prior to the election this week has gone viral, with millions of views on Twitter.

The whole ad is in black and white and based on the late newscaster Paul Harvey’s renowned “So God Made a Farmer” address at the Future Farmers of America convention in Kansas City, MO, in 1978.

“And on the eighth day,” the advertisement says, “God looked on his prepared paradise and remarked, ‘I need to get a protector.’ So God created a fighter.” God replied, “I need someone who will wake up before sunrise, kiss his family bye, and travel for thousands of miles for no other purpose than to help the people, to safeguard their jobs, livelihoods, liberty, and happiness.” As a result, God created a fighter.”

“God said, ‘I need someone who can be strong, to champion truth in the middle of hysteria, to confront common wisdom and to protect what he knows to be just and good.’ So God created a fighter,” the advertisement went. “God said, ‘I need someone to take the arrows, to stand steady in the face of persistent attacks, to look a mother in the eyes and assure her that her child will be attending school.’ She can work, go to church, eat supper with friends, and hold the hand of an aging parent as they take their final breath. As a result, God created a fighter. God said that he needed a family man. When his daughter says that she wants to spend her entire life doing what dad does, he laughs, sighs, and responds with happy eyes. As a result, God created a fighter.”

The commercial sparked a fierce internet protest from leftists, with many of the responses containing explicit language that could not be printed in a news report.
