Users Slam Obama for Comparing Mass Shooting to George Floyd

Ever since leaving office, Obama has lost his way with words. As president, it didn’t seem he could do any wrong—at least with some people. The “golden child” was praised by the media and worshiped by his supporters. But all that shine has come off the apple. And the former president struggles to connect with people.

Perhaps it has something to do with his embrace of radical policies. The man who once warned college students against “trigger warnings” and “safe spaces” now pushes the woke nonsense more than most. He comes off as desperate to stay relevant, even as his comments alienate more and more Americans.

His recent post shocked many, as he compared the recent elementary school shooting to the death of George Floyd, back in 2020. And now, people are speaking out.

Former Democrat President Barack Obama faced backlash online Wednesday afternoon after he invoked George Floyd following the school shootings that happened on Tuesday in Texas…

“As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer,” Obama tweeted. “His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him.” […]

Ben Shapiro, The Daily Wire: “What in the world does the former have to do with the latter?”

Jason Whitlock, The Blaze: “Let’s stand George Floyd on the dead bodies of slaughtered children. This is one of the worst tweets in history.”

Kira Davis, political commentator: “Not a single grieving parent today gives a rip about what happened to Floyd or anyone right now. For crying out loud. This is not the time to be advertising for your favorite activist group. How utterly vile.”

Gad Saad, professor: “Children, shmildren. Sure those kids died but let’s honor Floyd, a BLM icon. You are my president forever and I’m Canadian. Your ability to say nothing in such an articulate manner is inspiring. Thank you.” [Source: Daily Wire]

What in the world was Obama thinking when he posted that tweet? Is his social media managed by Stacey Abrams? Is he that tone-deaf that he would dismiss the death of over a dozen people, to prop up a man who already had justice? Keep in mind, the police responsible for Floyd’s death were never let off the hook.

They were immediately fired and then charged with the crime. They were convicted and punished. It was never a travesty of justice—despite how the left rioted and burned cities.

To compare that situation to the murder of many children is disgusting. These were only a few responses to Obama’s idiotic and insulting post. It almost looks like Obama resents the fact that this mass shooting is taking attention away from Floyd’s death.

If this shocks you, don’t be fooled. This is the Democratic Party of 2022. Obama knows there won’t be any political advancements for the left over this shooting. In fact, the Democrat-leaning district in which Uvalde sits might move to the right after this. So, Barry is desperately trying to pull the spotlight back on a story Democrats can milk for power.

Pathetic.
