President Donald Trump is once again doing what no one else in Washington has the courage to do: stand up for the forgotten men and women who’ve been persecuted and thrown under the bus by the Biden regime and its allies in the media. This week, Trump took things a step further—floating the idea of financial assistance for those charged or convicted in connection with the events of January 6, 2021.
Let’s get one thing straight—these people are not terrorists. They’re not “insurrectionists.” They’re Americans. Patriots. Veterans. Moms. Dads. Truck drivers. Firefighters. And yes, they’ve been absolutely railroaded by a justice system weaponized by the Left to make examples out of Trump supporters.
In an interview with Newsmax, Trump said what tens of millions of Americans have been thinking since day one: “They were treated very unfairly.” He called those who gathered that day “patriots”, and he’s absolutely right. The overwhelming majority of them showed up to exercise their First Amendment rights. What did they get in return? Solitary confinement, pretrial detention, ruined lives, and now a criminal record. All while BLM and Antifa rioters walked free after torching cities for an entire summer.
Trump already took the bold step of pardoning nearly every January 6 defendant on day one of his return to office—keeping a major campaign promise. But now, he’s considering going a step further and offering financial assistance to help these Americans rebuild their lives. Meanwhile, Democrats are busy calculating damage bills and crying about taxpayer costs—as if they cared one bit about the debt ceiling or reckless spending any other day of the week.
And let’s not forget about Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed Air Force veteran shot dead in cold blood by a Capitol Police officer. Trump rightly honored her, calling her “a really good person” and hinting that her killer, Lt. Michael Byrd, should finally be held accountable. Still waiting on justice for Ashli. The Left calls her a threat. We call her a hero who served her country and died for daring to question a rigged system.
Democrats, of course, are frothing at the mouth. They’ve launched yet another review—because they’ve got nothing else to offer but endless witch hunts and political score-settling. Their goal is clear: demonize dissent and destroy anyone who challenges their power. But Trump’s not playing that game. He’s fighting for the American people—and the people who fought for him.
So what if taxpayer money is used to help them? It’s already being spent to defend foreign borders, pay off student loans for gender studies majors, and fund drag shows in the military. Helping actual Americans who’ve been crushed by a tyrannical justice system? That’s money well spent.
