Trump Team Proves The Skeptics Wrong: They Are Stronger Than Ever

Breitbart News has found through discussions with many top Trump aides and from data that has been filed with the government that the political universe that surrounds former President Trump, the front-runner for the GOP nomination in 2024, is far more financially robust than some stories initially suggested.

According to a top Trump campaign staffer, “grassroots donors have been providing President Trump with an enormous fundraising advantage, and his presidential campaign staff has fiercely guarded these crucial resources. This guarantees that President Trump, the people’s nominee, will maintain his leadership position throughout the primary as well as general elections.”

The 2024 prospects of the Trump team are mostly made up of two official entities: his real campaign in addition to the super PAC MAGA Inc. Additionally, Trump is in charge of the Save America leaders PAC.

The Patriot Legal Defense Fund Inc., which is completely independent of the campaign and was recently founded by Trump loyalists, will eventually pay for the majority of the legal expenses of others instead of Trump or any of his family members. The former president’s family, as well as maybe some others, are anticipated to continue having their legal expenses paid for by Save America.

Separately, Trump is also being supported by a super PAC under the name of MAGA Inc. Since campaign finance law prohibits coordination between the campaigns and the super PACs, MAGA Inc. essentially doesn’t have a formal connection with the campaign. However, given the fact the Save America leadership PAC gave a significant contribution to the organization’s start-up funds, MAGA Inc. also fits into the financial side of things. In particular, considering Save America asked for a refund of some of that loan, and the MAGA Inc. provided some of the requests for refunds as the former president’s legal troubles have gotten worse. It’s possible—even probable—that MAGA Inc. may later reimburse Save America with more funds if necessary as a part of the refund request.

Initial reports indicated that the Save America organization was in serious financial trouble—and that MAGA Inc. was in worse shape than it appeared—following recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) reporting deadlines regarding both the leadership PAC as well as the super PAC at the end of the month of July. Additionally, some have asserted that Trump’s campaign was experiencing financial difficulties comparable to those faced by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is in fact experiencing serious financial difficulties.

But compared to earlier reports, the truth paints a far better picture of Trump. Despite the legal issues the former president along with his inner circle are currently facing, the financial outlook regarding the Trump political universe is undoubtedly the best of any 2024 contender in either party. It may be ironic that the Trump team is notorious for underestimating its own prospects and situation, which lowers expectations for performance.

The former president’s campaign had $26 million of cash on hand during that time, a senior Trump campaign insider informed Breitbart News this week. This cash might be utilized during the GOP primary. Any single contributor can donate to a contender up to that amount for the primary campaign and again up to that amount for the vote in the general election under federal election law’s contribution limits, which are $3,300 for the 2024 presidential cycle. Any funds raised by an individual contributor in excess of the initial cap of $3,300 in the primary must be set aside and held for the general election; they cannot be used there.
