The U.S. Naval Academy is finally doing what every American military institution should’ve done years ago— it’s ripping out the rot of radical leftism, one book at a time.
Following February’s announcement that all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) offices at the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) were being shuttered, we’re now seeing the next righteous phase of President Trump’s bold campaign to restore our fighting forces to greatness.
According to the Associated Press and confirmed by the Daily Caller News Foundation, Naval Academy officials reviewed the Nimitz Library and flagged approximately 900 DEI-infected books for inspection. After combing through the pile, 400 woke titles were pulled immediately.
Good riddance.
A Navy spokesperson explained it bluntly:
“We can confirm the U.S. Naval Academy has removed nearly 400 books from their Nimitz Library collection in order to ensure compliance with all directives outlined in Executive Orders issued by the President.”
That president, of course, is Donald J. Trump, who on Day One of his second term signed a series of orders to demolish DEI ideology within the military, reinstate meritocracy, and return our armed forces to their core mission: defending America with strength and excellence.
Let’s be clear—this isn’t about censorship. It’s about national security. The U.S. military should not be indoctrinating future warriors with books that promote Marxist victimhood, gender confusion, or race-based resentment.
What used to be sacred halls of leadership development like the Naval Academy were, under past administrations, allowed to become playgrounds for left-wing social experimentation. But now, thanks to President Trump, those days are over.
“The Naval Academy’s mission is to develop Midshipmen morally, mentally, and physically in order to cultivate honorable leaders, create a culture of excellence, and prepare them for careers of service to our country,” the Navy statement continued.
Imagine that—a military school actually focused on leadership and patriotism, not pronouns and “white privilege.”
The library itself still houses nearly 590,000 print books, 322 academic databases, and over 5,000 journals—so don’t fall for the Left’s meltdown when they scream “book banning.” The truth is, the only thing that’s been “banned” is taxpayer-funded brainwashing.
This purge is the direct result of Trump’s executive orders, which specifically targeted and dismantled DEI poison in the Pentagon.
His “Restoring America’s Fighting Force” order told the Department of Defense and Homeland Security to abolish every DEI office, program, and initiative that pushed race-based policies, unmerited promotions, and gender ideology in the armed services.
Another order, “Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness,” re-centered the military on what matters: lethality, mission preparedness, and patriotic service.
That’s what we’ve been missing. And it’s finally back.
It’s no secret that under the previous administration, America’s enemies got bolder while our military got weaker. While China trained for war, our woke generals were busy hosting “safe space” seminars and pushing mandatory gender identity briefings. Now, under Trump, the focus is back where it belongs: strength, discipline, and victory.
We’re still waiting to see the list of the 400 books that were removed, but you can bet your bottom dollar they were filled with the usual leftist garbage—critical race theory, gender identity propaganda, and anti-American grievance narratives.
They don’t belong in our military. They don’t belong in our academies. And they don’t belong on the taxpayer’s dime.
President Trump promised to make America’s military the most feared and respected fighting force in the world once again—and that means clearing out every last vestige of Marxist rot from within its ranks.
The purge has begun. And it’s about time.
