This week, a large group of Trump fans gathered outside the Fulton County, Georgia, jail in anticipation of the former president.
Trump is anticipated to show up at the county jail where he will have to be fingerprinted and perhaps have his picture taken in a mug shot. CNN says that Fani Willis, the DA for Fulton County, has asked for Trump along with 18 other suspects to be brought to court in September. Court papers show that the judge in charge of the case will also let four local news outlets have video cameras inside the courtroom until September 8. This makes Trump’s fourth hearing the best one for the media.
Willis filed 13 accusations against the former president, who is now leading the Republican race, this past week, including one for racketeering. Loyal Trump fans went to the jail hours earlier than Trump was due to arrive to show how angry they were that the chief political opponent of the current president was being charged.
A group known as “Blacks for Trump” was also part of the demonstration of support for the former president and was spotted brandishing American flags and pro-Trump banners. One individual referred to Willis as “a puppet that represents the white liberal” and stated “it’s a bunch of bulls***” when questioned about Trump’s most recent indictment.
“They’ve repeatedly done this to black people for decades,” he said. “I’m here to support Trump. I know that Trump is not guilty. I agree with Trump that there shouldn’t be two levels of justice. Fani Willis lies a lot.”
While a lot of individuals erected tents beside the road to wait for Trump to come, some supporters arrived on a bus that was red, white, and blue and featured an image of Trump on its side.
Trump alongside 18 other people, such as Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Mark Meadows, Jenna Ellis, and Sidney Powell, were all charged in Fulton County. Giuliani, Eastman, Ellis, and Powell all surrendered and had their pictures taken. Giuliani gave a speech before leaving for Georgia. He was with Trump when the president questioned the results of the 2020 election.
“As a former United States lawyer,” Giuliani stated, “I feel like I am protecting the rights of every American, and I am feeling very, very positive about it. Individuals like claiming that I am different, but I’m exactly the same Rudy Giuliani that took control of the Mafia, made NYC the most secure city in America, and cut crime by far more than any other mayor throughout the history of virtually any city, anywhere. I’ve been fighting for justice since the first time I spoke up for Donald Trump.”
