Texas Gov Slams NYC Mayor for Complaining About Migrants in His ‘Sanctuary City’

For many years, Democrats have turned once-proud major cities into hell holes. One of the ways they’ve done this was by passing “sanctuary laws.” These laws forbid police from reporting illegal aliens to the federal government for deportation. This has turned cities into magnets for criminal aliens, a major factor in exploding crime.

Yet, for some reason, New York’s mayor is suddenly upset about the rising number of illegals in his city. Texas Gov. Abbott has been bussing aliens who jump the border (thanks to Biden’s open border policies) to cities like D.C. and New York. Now, Mayor Adams is claiming illegals are a burden, just when Texas is shipping them to him.

So, the governor had some words for him.

Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott slammed New York City Democrat Mayor Eric Adams Monday for complaining about the small number of illegal aliens that have been bussed to the city while Texas has been forced to bear the brunt of the border crisis that has erupted under President Joe Biden…

“This is horrific when you think about what [Abbott] is doing,” Adams said during a press conference…

“What’s horrific is the thousands of illegal immigrants overrunning and overwhelming our border communities with populations smaller than a New York City borough, and Mayor Adams is hypocritically upset about welcoming a few dozen into his sanctuary city,” Abbott said. “These migrants willingly chose to go to New York City, having signed a voluntary consent waiver, available in multiple languages, upon boarding that they agreed on the destination.”

“If the mayor wants a solution to this crisis, he should call on President Biden to take immediate action to secure the border-something the President continues failing to do,” Abbott continued. “The Biden Administration is allowing historic levels of illegal immigrants, weapons, and deadly drugs like fentanyl to surge into our state and dumping migrants in our border towns with little to no help provided.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Funny how Mayor Adams is so pissed off that Abbott sent about 40 illegals to New York. But he doesn’t care one bit about the thousands that have overrun Texas communities. The problem has gotten so bad, that numerous towns are threatened by “bailouts,” when a truck of illegals goes on a high-speed chase with police, ending in violent crashes. Many times, the illegals escape to spread violence across the state.

Abbott blasted Adams for his “hypocritical” anger. Adams has no problem with illegals in New York, taking Americans’ jobs and draining the country of resources when it’s on his terms. But when a Texas governor sends over a few dozen to bring a small amount of relief to Texas, suddenly it’s a problem.

I doubt Adams would think the same if New York shared a border with Mexico. If New Yorkers had to endure the violence and chaos of the Southern border (on a daily basis), I doubt they’d let Adams ignore it—or welcome it.

Adams wouldn’t have a job if he acted this way along the border. But he and his allies refuse to call on Biden to secure the border and end this crisis. But every day he ignores it, he is casting a spotlight on Texas.

And the Democrats will lose big over this.
