Many globalist billionaires fighting against America First have endorsed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and they’ll most likely cash in their favors if DeSantis chooses to run for president.
Traditional Catholic, a Twitter user, presented an enlightening thread regarding the folks behind DeSantis. It’s a who’s who of America’s remaining funders who are seeing DeSantis as their instrument to disrupt Trump populism and restore the GOP to its anemic politics of yesteryear.
“Donations of $50,000 or more have accounted for 60% of Ron DeSantis’ donations. Donations of less than $200 accounted for 54% of Donald Trump’s total donations. Only 6% of these contributions went to DeSantis. Billionaires and the establishment support Ron DeSantis,” Traditional Catholic stated.
He cited venture entrepreneur Ken Griffin, who gave DeSantis a whopping $5 million. Griffin is a staunch opponent of America First ideals and objects to DeSantis’ populist moves as governor of Florida. Griffin believes he can keep DeSantis under control if he defeats Trump and becomes the Republican nominee for president in 2024.
WeatherTech founder David MacNeil also contributed $800,000 to DeSantis, whose main concern is granting amnesty to illegal immigrants. He stood against Trump in 2020 because of Trump’s immigration patriotism in opposing illegal immigration.
Paul Tudor Jones, a Wall St. hedge fund manager, is a billionaire DeSantis supporter who has donated $1 million to the Florida gov. He is close to a convicted Dem. sex offender Harvey Weinstein and helped collect funds in 2008 for Barack Hussein Obama.
“A frequent myth from supporters of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s possible presidential candidacy is that he ended COVID shutdowns in his state during the peak of the epidemic when Pres. Donald Trump was supporting them from the White House.”
However, the evidence reveals that this was not the case. DeSantis utilized his governorship powers to impose lockdowns, shut down businesses, and use state power to punish disobedience with his edicts.
In a video from June 2020, DeSantis threatens to revoke bars’ liquor licenses if they do not comply with his arbitrary rules set ostensibly in the name of science.
Pastors were also detained and imprisoned because they maintained services under DeSantis’ lockdown. During the pandemic, the DeSantis admin. grossly violated religious liberty and made a joke of the First Amendment.
