Americans watched in disgust this weekend as Eunisses Hernandez, a Democrat member of the Los Angeles City Council, openly called on leftist activists to escalate their tactics against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. Her reckless words come at a time when our courageous federal officers are under siege from radical mobs determined to undermine our national sovereignty and the rule of law.
In a disturbing video from Saturday, Hernandez told a fired-up crowd of left-wing extremists, “They know how quickly we mobilize, that’s why they’re changing tactics. Because community defense works and our resistance has slowed them down before… and if they’re escalating their tactics then so are we. When they show up, we gotta show up even stronger.”

Just days earlier, over forty radical agitators were arrested amid violent confrontations with ICE agents conducting lawful raids to protect our communities from criminal illegal aliens. These are not peaceful protesters exercising their free speech, but violent mobs throwing eggs, harassing law enforcement, and even setting vehicles ablaze. This behavior is morally repugnant and fundamentally un-American.
President Trump’s administration, true to its promise of restoring law and order, swiftly responded by deploying 2,000 National Guardsmen to Los Angeles. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth made it abundantly clear: “Under President Trump, violence & destruction against federal agents & federal facilities will NOT be tolerated. It’s COMMON SENSE. The Department of Defense is mobilizing the National Guard IMMEDIATELY… And, if violence continues, active-duty Marines at Camp Pendleton will also be mobilized—they are on high alert.”
Let’s be clear about what’s at stake here. Hernandez and her radical allies are openly inciting violence against law enforcement officers whose only crime is enforcing the very immigration laws put in place to protect American citizens. They encourage chaos, undermine public safety, and enable criminal cartels that exploit our open borders. This escalation isn’t about compassion or justice; it’s about advancing a far-left, anti-American agenda that puts illegal aliens above American families and communities.
Not surprisingly, the usual Democrat voices who lecture us endlessly about civility and democracy have remained noticeably silent. Vice President Kamala Harris, herself a Californian, has refused to condemn Hernandez’s dangerous rhetoric. Her silence speaks volumes—making it clear that the Democrats have abandoned law enforcement and the hardworking citizens they protect.
The violence and anarchy in Los Angeles is yet another grim reminder of the very real consequences of policies embraced by the radical Left. Their vision for America is one where laws are optional, enforcement is demonized, and chaos is rewarded. This is the America they want—a nation without borders, without order, without safety. We cannot allow this dangerous ideology to take root.
