Pete Hegseth isn’t wasting any time cleaning house. The Trump-appointed Defense Secretary has reportedly begun circulating a list of top military officers he’s looking to fire – and you better believe the woke establishment is panicking.
According to a senior official, one of the most notable names on the list is U.S. Navy Adm. Lisa Franchetti, the Chief of Naval Operations and one of the highest-ranking women in the Navy’s history. While the final version of the list is still up in the air, it has been shared exclusively with congressional Republicans – a strategic move that has left Democrats fuming on the sidelines.
Time to Purge the Woke Military
Hegseth, a veteran himself and a longtime critic of the leftist rot in the military, has made it crystal clear: the U.S. Armed Forces need a return to warfighting excellence, not social engineering. That means gutting the top brass responsible for the military’s embarrassing decline under Biden.
For years, we’ve watched as diversity quotas and politically correct nonsense have taken priority over combat readiness. The result? A weaker, less effective force bogged down in identity politics rather than battlefield dominance.
Hegseth has been outspoken about his belief that women should not serve in combat roles – a stance that has drawn fire from the usual suspects in the media. But he’s not backing down. On the Shawn Ryan Show podcast last November, he laid it out plainly:
“I’m straight up saying that we should not have women in combat roles – it hasn’t made us more effective, hasn’t made us more lethal, has made fighting more complicated.”
Cue the outrage from liberals who care more about optics than national security. Of course, Hegseth later clarified that he fully supports women in the military—just not in roles that put them in direct combat. But facts don’t matter when the left sees an opportunity to cry “sexism.”
Firings Could Be Imminent – The Establishment is Nervous
Washington insiders suspect firings could happen as soon as Friday evening—a classic D.C. move for when major shakeups are incoming. Hegseth was scheduled to visit Guantanamo Bay for a media interview but postponed the trip, adding fuel to the speculation.
Among the names rumored to be on the chopping block is none other than Joint Chiefs Chairman C.Q. Brown. When asked if he planned to fire Brown on Day One, Hegseth played it cool: “I look forward to working with him.” Brown just so happened to be standing next to him at the time. Awkward.
Meanwhile, Senate Armed Services Committee Chair Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) isn’t confirming anything but also isn’t denying it. “I may have heard a rumor, but I’m not going to speculate on rumors,” he told Fox News. That’s Beltway speak for, “Yeah, it’s happening.”
Trump’s Military Overhaul Has Begun
This is what happens when real leadership takes charge. The woke military experiment of the Biden years is getting dismantled, and not a moment too soon. America needs warriors, not social justice activists in uniform. If Hegseth’s list signals anything, it’s that the days of using the Pentagon as a diversity seminar are over.
Fire them all, Pete. It’s time to make America’s military lethal again.
