This so-called “independent watchdog” was just another Biden bureaucrat trying to protect the Deep State, and Trump wasn’t having it.
Dellinger tried to put up a fight, taking his case to court after being swiftly terminated by the Trump administration last month. But after the DC Circuit Court of Appeals lifted an injunction blocking his removal, he finally surrendered, realizing he didn’t stand a chance. His excuse? “The harm may be uncorrectable.” Oh, please. The only “harm” here is to the unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats who think they run this country instead of the president elected by the American people.
Dellinger whined that his fight “wasn’t for me”, but to keep OSC an “independent watchdog”. Let’s call that what it really is: a blatant attempt to keep Trump from cleaning house. The OSC is supposed to investigate government misconduct, but under Biden, it was nothing more than a weaponized political tool designed to protect the bureaucracy and punish conservatives.
Dellinger, a classic Biden-era pencil pusher, could have tried to take his case to the Supreme Court. But even he knew he didn’t stand a chance. The Trump administration argued that the removal protections shielding Dellinger were unconstitutional, and the courts agreed. Dellinger was out of a job faster than a Biden border policy collapses under scrutiny.
And let’s be honest—this is just one of many firings to come. The federal bureaucracy is filled with unelected ideologues, entrenched in their positions, working against the will of the American people. They thought they could ride out another four years of Trump, but now they’re realizing the purge is real. Elon Musk has already put federal layoffs on the table, and Trump is more than ready to clean house.
