President Donald Trump just dropped a brutal truth bomb about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying on Sunday Morning Futures that he milked the U.S. for billions under Joe Biden “like taking candy from a baby.”
Speaking with Maria Bartiromo, Trump didn’t hold back. When asked about his Oval Office “smackdown” with Zelensky, Trump made it clear: he’s done with Ukraine’s endless demands for American cash.
“Well, you know, he was able to, it was like taking candy from a baby, what he did. He’s a smart guy, and he’s a tough guy. And he took money out of this country under Biden, like it was so easy with that same attitude.”
Let’s be real—he’s right. While Biden and the Democrats opened up America’s bank account for Ukraine, Trump is exposing just how lopsided the whole arrangement has been. He laid out the staggering numbers:
- $350 billion in U.S. aid under Biden
- Only $100 billion from all of Europe combined
That’s America footing the bill three times over, while European nations—the ones with the most at stake—barely chip in. Meanwhile, Zelensky continues to lecture and demand more, acting as if America owes him a blank check.
Trump made sure to remind everyone of a critical fact the media ignores—Obama gave Ukraine nothing when Russia first started encroaching in 2014. Trump, on the other hand, armed Ukraine with Javelins, the very weapons that kept Russia at bay early in the war. And of course, none of this would have happened if Trump had been in office.
“If I were president, that would have never happened. You wouldn’t have had Russia going into Ukraine.”
He’s 100% right. Putin didn’t invade under Trump, because he knew better. But the second Biden showed weakness, Russia moved in, knowing the U.S. would throw billions at the problem instead of actually leading.
The Biden administration turned Ukraine into a bottomless money pit, and Trump is the only one standing up and saying ‘enough.’
