Has there ever been a group more likely to say, “Do as I say, not as I do” than Democrats? I haven’t found them. But time and again, Democrats are willing to burden Americans with countless rules and restrictions that they themselves refuse to obey.
We saw that almost daily during the lockdowns. Democrats like Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, and Gretchen Whitmer flaunted lockdown rules, while schools, businesses, and churches were punished. Liberals have called for the defunding of police and the banning of guns while enjoying private (armed) security.
But the hypocrisy is at its worst when it comes to “climate change.” Major liberal climate alarmists crow about global warming. These are the very same liberal elite who live in mansions, drive around expensive carts, and fly on private jets. John Kerry, Biden’s “climate czar,” dumped 300 tons of CO2 in the last year and a half alone.
And now, one of Hollywood’s biggest climate change shills has been outed as a fraud.
Leonardo DiCaprio traveled across the world on gas-guzzling private jets and embarked on long yacht trips while his foundation quietly funded climate change lawsuits levied against Big Oil.
DiCaprio, a famous actor and climate activist, has embarked on multiple fossil fuel-powered trips over the last several years while pushing for extreme measures to combat climate change, according to multiple reports. The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which the actor founded in the late 1990s, awarded grants to a fund that in turn backed a private law firm’s efforts to hold oil companies liable for climate change…
“There’s not a single climate activist who is not a complete hypocrite about all this,” Milloy added. “Everything they do is just total hypocrisy. I would say they have no self awareness, but they just don’t care. All this is really meant to control us, not for them to control themselves.” [Source: Fox News]
While suing oil companies—to cripple a source of energy billions rely on—Leo was flying around the world on a gas-guzzling jet. He went on long yacht trips while trying to shut down oil production in the developing world.
DiCaprio, like most of his Hollywood buddies, is demanding we end the use of fossil fuels. This, of course, would cripple most countries—especially countries in Africa that are developing their own fossil fuel infrastructure to climb out of the Dark Ages. If DiCaprio and his ilk have their way, billions of Africans would confine in abject poverty—a kind of lifestyle unknown by these uber-elite.
But do they seem to care? If DiCaprio really believed in all his climate alarmism, how can he go around jetting in private jets and still look himself in the mirror? This imbecile was called a “messenger of peace” by the bloated UN for his work on “climate change.” Yet neither he, nor the con artists at the UN, care that DiCaprio is burning through fossil fuels, as he lectures us on the evil of oil and coal.
Don’t be fooled. If men like DiCaprio get their way, fossil fuels will be shut down. That’s exactly what Biden is doing, after all. Energy prices will skyrocket (higher than they are now), as “alternative” fuels struggle to meet demand. But don’t you worry. DiCaprio won’t feel a thing. He (and all the ruling elite) will continue to use as much oil as they like.
You see, they are better than you. Richer. Smarter. Handsomer. And because they say and do the right things, they can get away with breaking their own supposed values.
That worked for Harvey Weinstein for over thirty years. Why not the rest of them?
