There’s one crazed House Democrat who seems to be front-and-center during every attempt to destroy Former President Donald Trump.
As lead impeachment attorney, this whack job argued (twice) for Trump’s removal from office — even though there was zero proof of wrongdoing. Now, as a key member of Nancy Pelosi’s Jan. 6 witch hunt committee, he’s attempting to weaponize the U.S. Constitution against Trump to ensure he’s barred from public office.
Rep. Jamie Raskin: Nancy Pelosi’s lead henchman and key House Democrat responsible for both of Trump’s impeachment hoaxes. He now proudly holds a seat on the House Select Committee investigating the events leading up to the Jan. 6 Capitol protest.
While you could make clear assumptions based on his previous statements about Trump, it’s now become clear that Rep. Raskin will use any tool in the federal government’s arsenal to see to it that Trump never becomes president again.
Good luck.
The radical House Democrat told reporters last week that if his witch hunt committee found Donald Trump in any way responsible for the events on Jan. 6, then he will seek further legal action barring him from office. Raskin claims the 14th Amendment would do the trick.
The provision invoked by Raskin, a panel member of the Jan. 6 committee, is found in the 14th Amendment and prevents those who “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” from holding office.
Even though Trump has already been acquitted of impeachment charges for “incitement of insurrection,” Rep. Raskin vows to proceed anyway. He claims a “lack of precedent” regarding if the amendment is “self-executing” without requiring a previous conviction, meaning Trump could very well face a constitutional barring from office, according to Raskin.
“There’s also another view out there that, for example, Donald Trump has already been determined to have participated in insurrection and rebellion by virtue of his impeachment by the House by majority vote, and then the determination by 57 senators that he incited violent insurrection against the union,” said Raskin.
Trump has faced numerous attacks from Democrats, media operatives, and the Ivy League intelligentsia — Jamie Raskin is really no match for arguably the greatest president in modern American history.
Still, so-called “legal experts” employed by the likes of Harvard University (who admits non-white students with poor grades) claim to this day that the 14th Amendment could prevent Trump from running again.
Very worth retweeting. And even if Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment isn't self-executing against the former president, it is certainly a strong basis for a vote of expulsion from the House for those members who aided and abetted the insurrection. https://t.co/1pBnPcDZ4W
